Lies of P has three endings: Rise of P, Free from the Puppet String, and Real Boy. Dialogue choices can build Humanity, but counting lies alone will not determine your ending. The two decisions that matter most are what you do with Sophia after Laxasia and whether you give Geppetto your heart at the end.
How lies, truths, and Humanity work
Many lie answers increase Humanity, a hidden stat, but some truthful answers can also increase it. Sidequests and fully listening to Records can contribute too, so “always lie” is not a reliable route rule. The options below are major story and sidequest choices, not a claim that every dialogue branch in the game is listed.

The practical guide for the choices and endings below is PowerPyx’s Lies of P All Endings Guide, published September 15, 2023. Some answers can vary with game state; use the location and named alternatives to identify the choice.
Major Lies of P lie-or-truth choices
Early story and Hotel Krat
- Inside the House on Elysion Boulevard — Weeping Woman: “She’s a cute baby” is the lie; “That’s just a puppet” is the truth.
- St. Frangelico Cathedral Library — Alidoro: “Venigni Works” is the lie; “Hotel Krat” is the truth.
- Rosa Isabelle Street Culvert — Julian the Gentleman: “I saw the message she left, saying she loves you” is the lie; “I’ve never seen that happen before” is the truth.
- Hotel Krat, after King of Puppets — Antonia: “Of course” is the lie; “There’s nothing left” is the truth.
- Hotel Krat — Polendina: If you completed Julian’s side objective, answer “I have” and show the wedding ring for the preferred outcome. The guide identifies this as the preferred truthful choice.
Grand Exhibition and later Hotel Krat choices
- Grand Exhibition Conference Room — Simon, after Champion Victor: Choose “Hope for a cure” or “Monsters.” The guide does not identify either as a clear lie/truth pair and says neither appears to grant Humanity.
- Hotel Krat, chapter 9 — Belle: “He was killed in battle” is the lie; “He’s become a monster” is the truth.
- Hotel Krat, chapter 10 — Venigni: “I couldn’t hear” is the lie; “Geppetto caused the Puppet Frenzy” is the truth.
- Hotel Krat, after Venigni deciphers Alidoro’s Cryptic Vessel — Eugénie: “He was Eugénie’s older brother” is the truth; “I think he just was a talented Stalker” is the lie. These answers are associated with mutually exclusive Records, so choose the other answer on a later playthrough if you want to collect both.
Arche Abbey and endgame dialogue
- Arche Abbey Outer Wall — Arlecchino: “Human” is the lie; “Puppet” is the truth.
- Ascension Bridge, after Laxasia — Sophia: Choose “Give her peace” or “Let her live.” This is a major ending branch, not just an ordinary Humanity dialogue choice.
- Arche Abbey Upper Part, Geppetto’s cell — Geppetto: “Yes” is the lie; “No” is the truth.
- After Simon Manus — Simon’s question about Sophia: The options are “I liberated her from Arche Abbey” and “I gave her peace.” The guide says either response can be used and Simon reacts the same regardless of what you actually did; it does not identify this as an ending-changing choice.
Which choices lead to each ending?

For Rise of P, the guide’s route calls for the highest Humanity level before Sophia’s decision. Do not treat a lie count as a substitute: sidequests, listening fully to Records, and some truthful choices can also build Humanity, and a few missed dialogue opportunities need not prevent a high level if you gain Humanity elsewhere.

Can you get the Golden Lie weapon by lying?
The guide recommends listening fully to Records and then checking the portrait in Geppetto’s Study for the Golden Lie. If it is not available, finish listening to the Records and check again. The guide’s comments report varying outcomes, so lying in every conversation is not a guarantee that the weapon will appear.
