Wowhead’s Paladin overview lists 28 class runes across eight equipment slots in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery (SoD). You can obtain runes through discovery routes or, according to its guide, buy class runes from Rune Brokers in faction cities. Because vendor learning may interfere with some discovery quests, choose your route before purchasing a rune.

This list follows Wowhead’s slot index. Ring runes are handled separately in its shared-class ring guide, so they are not included in the count.

Choose between buying and discovering a rune

If you want to complete a rune’s discovery chain, attempt that route before buying the ability. Current vendor availability and quest behavior can change between patches, so check the live game before committing.

Rune Broker locations
Wowhead lists Rune Brokers in these faction-city areas:
- Alliance: Darnassus, Temple Gardens; Ironforge, The Forlorn Cavern; Stormwind City, The Dwarven District.
- Horde: Orgrimmar, Cleft of Shadow; Thunder Bluff, Spirit Rise; Undercity, The Magic Quarter.

Skill Book vendors
Wowhead names two vendors for Skill Books from all phases: Milton Sheaf <Librarian> in Stormwind’s Dwarven District and Zor Lonetree <Elder Far Seer> in Orgrimmar’s Valley of Wisdom. The listed books include Exorcist, Enhanced Blessings, and Seal of Martyrdom. See Wowhead’s Skill Book guide for details.
How Paladin Libram discoveries work
Many Paladin rune hunts begin with a Libram. Equip the relevant item in the Relic slot, meet its specific criteria to gain Building Inspiration stacks, and wait for the buff to become Inspired. Then click the equipped Libram to learn the rune.

- Get the Libram associated with the rune you want.
- Equip it in the Relic slot.
- Complete that Libram’s criteria until Building Inspiration becomes Inspired.
- Click the Libram while it is equipped to learn the rune.
Do not switch Librams mid-process: Wowhead says changing them loses accumulated progress. Requirements vary by Libram; consult the linked individual discovery guide in the Paladin rune overview.
Example discovery: Infusion of Light
The Infusion of Light route is a multi-zone Dark Rider quest chain. The instructions and approximate coordinates below come from a Wowhead database page with user-contributed guide comments, not a Blizzard-authored walkthrough.

- Find Agent Keanna at approximately 52, 34 in Deadwind Pass and obtain Ariden’s Sigil.
- Use the sigil to reveal and defeat seven Dark Rider elites.
- Collect the riders’ relics in Deadwind Pass, Swamp of Sorrows, Duskwood, Badlands, Arathi Highlands, The Barrens, and Desolace.
- Return the relics to Keanna and complete the follow-up to receive a Supply Bag containing the class rune.
