Guides counted ten vault structures overall, but the other former boss-vault sites were open and offered lower-value loot rather than the same keycard-vault experience. These are historical locations from the 2024 Myths & Mortals season, not a guide to the current island.
All four useful keycard vault locations
Contemporary guides describe four smaller vaults that required a keycard and contained higher-value loot. Use the named landmarks below to find them; the guides do not provide a consistent set of grid coordinates.
- Forest-side station east of Rebel’s Roost: Look for a small station beside the railroad in the forest, east of Rebel’s Roost and northwest of Lavish Lair. Guides describe the area differently, and do not establish a consistent formal name for the station. EarlyGame and GameLeap place it by nearby landmarks.
- Coastal Comms: Find this site in the northeast, around the snowy mountain area. It is east of Catcher’s Cove, northeast of Classy Courts and northwest of Slumberyard, according to GameLeap; Beebom also places it northeast of Classy Courts.
- Estate Station: The vault was beneath the small rail stop south or southeast of Lavish Lair, near The Ol’ Mill. Guides vary slightly on the compass direction, so use the rail stop and nearby landmarks rather than an exact bearing. GameLeap and Beebom describe the site.
- Unmoored Manor: The vault was at the rear of the seaside manor on the south coast, between Brawler’s Battleground and Snooty Steppes. EarlyGame and GameLeap identify the manor.
Why guides say there were ten vaults
“All vaults” can mean every vault structure on the island or the four worthwhile keycard sites. Contemporary guides counted ten structures in total, including former boss-vault locations. Those other sites were reported as left open with lower-quality ordinary loot; they were not equivalent to the four active keycard vaults. The ten-versus-four count comes from 2024 guides, not an official Epic Games statistic. GameLeap, EarlyGame and Beebom describe the distinction.

How players opened the keycard vaults
Launch-era guides described this sequence for the 2024 season: disable the targeting cameras, defeat the NPC guards and the Commander carrying the keycard, then use the keycard at the vault terminal or control panel. The instructions describe Chapter 5 Season 2 mechanics only; they should not be treated as current gameplay directions. GameLeap details the sequence, while EarlyGame likewise describes defeating guards and submitting the keycard at a terminal.

Season and map context
Myths & Mortals was announced on March 8, 2024. Epic Games said the season’s Battle Pass could be progressed until May 24, 2024, at 2 AM ET. The official announcement establishes the season’s timing, but does not enumerate vault locations; the site descriptions above come from contemporary guides.
