Village of Khalim has six secrets and five collectibles: two codex entries, two toys, and one weapon skin, according to PowerPyx (2025). Follow this landmark-based route through Chapter 1 to find each item without confusing the secret count with the collectible count. PowerPyx lists no Gold for the chapter and says missed items can be recovered with chapter select.
Village of Khalim secrets and collectibles at a glance
PowerPyx’s May 2025 guide counts six secrets and five collectibles across 11 locations; PC Gamer’s 2025 guide independently lists the same five-collectible breakdown. The counts differ because a secret area may contain a collectible, while the first Life Sigil is a secret but is not among the five collectibles.

Chronological route to all six secrets
1. Life Sigil after the Power Gauntlet tutorial
Once the Power Gauntlet tutorial opens the way forward, pass through the doorway and look left. Break the barrier and turn into the small room to find the first Life Sigil. Depending on the guide, the obstacle is described as a wooden barricade to shield-bash or a door to smash; both descriptions refer to the same early detour.

3. Life Sigil behind the Purple Key gate
Find the Purple Key near the portal and Shredder section of the four-portal arena. Return to the purple gate near the starting-side portal area and open it to claim the Life Sigil. Walkthroughs vary in how they number or sequence this detour, so use the key and portal-area landmarks rather than relying on a guide’s secret number.

5. Nightmare Combat Shotgun skin across the water inlet
From the Shredder drop-pod area, turn toward the water inlet and jump across to the cave opening. Enemies appear as you approach; the walkthroughs note that explosive barrels in the area can be used against them. The Nightmare Combat Shotgun skin is inside.

6. Doom Slayer codex entry behind the statue and portal
In the portal arena, take the route behind the large statue or portal and climb the rocky cliff. The Doom Slayer codex page is on the cliffs behind this landmark. Guides describe the approach with slightly different landmarks, including going behind the demonic gate; follow the cliff route behind the statue and portal.

The second codex entry is near the chapter’s end, after the beach combat section. Before following the exit route, take the climbable wall on the right to reach the Village of Khalim page. It is the final item on this route and is easy to pass if you head straight for the exit.
