Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion groups Arsenal weapons into three broad roles: melee, ranged, and explosive. Named examples include swords and blades, maces, mauls, fist weapons, bows, Gatling guns, missiles, and railguns. These are representative examples—not a confirmed complete list of every weapon model in the game.

Weapon types and examples

The publisher describes Arsenal options as ranged, melee, and explosive. Individual equipment has its own stats, so a weapon’s broad role is a starting point for comparing gear, not a complete description of how it performs.

Role Named examples What to know
Melee Blades and swords, including one- and two-handed swords and laser blades; maces, mauls, and fist-type weapons Close-combat equipment. Marvelous’s system overview describes using blades and other close-combat gear alongside mobility.
Ranged Bows, Gatling guns, and railguns Bows and Gatling guns are named in TechRadar’s review; the official system overview names railguns among heavy weapons.
Explosive Missiles, including homing missiles Missiles are named in Marvelous’s system overview. Homing missiles are also described as shoulder equipment in TechRadar’s review, so they should not be mistaken for a handheld weapon example.

The named examples come from the official Japanese system overview and TechRadar’s September 8, 2025 review. Neither source presents an exhaustive in-game catalog, so the list should not be read as every available weapon type or model.

How weapon slots fit into an Arsenal loadout

Marvelous Games said its May 27, 2025 customization article showed an Arsenal with five armor slots and six weapon slots, filled with ranged, melee, and explosive options. TechRadar’s review describes four weapons equipped on the suit, alongside a shoulder-mounted weapon and auxiliary equipment such as homing missiles, shields, or an ammunition pack.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion - Nintendo Switch 2
  • Full ROM on Game Card
  • Trademark action debuts on new platforms, bringing epic sci-fi adventure, accessible gameplay for newcomers, & an expanded scope for returning fans
  • Now a nimble suit of armor, your Arsenal can be fully customized both in design and in loadout, with the ability to craft or salvage new elements
  • Cooperative & asynchronous multiplayer means you never truly fight alone so team up with friends online to tackle the epic story & battles
  • Explore an alien planet in your Arsenal as you battle against mechanical and organic enemies

Those descriptions are useful for understanding the multi-slot loadout, but they do not establish that every slot has a single fixed weapon function in every configuration. When comparing items, consider both their combat role and where they can be equipped: handheld, shoulder-mounted, or auxiliary.

Particle Armaments

With compatible body armor, Particle Armaments offer three modes: Assault Shift for automatic attacks, Shield Shift to negate attacks, and Wing Shift for high-speed movement. These are modes of a separate combat system, not additional entries in the ordinary melee, ranged, or explosive weapon groups.

Heavy Armor

Heavy Armor is summoned after its gauge fills and can be piloted until its energy gauge runs out. It carries high-firepower weapons, making it a special combat option rather than a typical handheld weapon type.

Both systems are described on Marvelous’s official Japanese system page.

Where to find and compare equipment

Marvelous says equipment can come from in-game vendors, hidden equipment boxes, defeated enemies, and crafting from data at the home base. PlayStation’s official product page also describes collecting weapons and equipment after taking down foes. These routes explain where players can encounter more options; the sources do not establish a specific drop rate or a required order of progression.

  • Start with the role you want: melee, ranged, or explosive.
  • Check whether the item fits a handheld, shoulder, or auxiliary position in your loadout.
  • Compare the individual item stats rather than assuming all weapons in one broad group perform alike.

The available sources do not establish an authoritative damage ranking or tier list, so they cannot support a reliable claim that one weapon group is best for damage, effectiveness, or endgame use.
