This guide separates Grace’s and Leon’s gear by how you obtain it, so you can tell what is found during the campaign, bought at supply boxes, or unlocked through bonus content. Spoilers are limited to weapon names and acquisition locations.
How weapon access works for Grace and Leon
Grace and Leon have different combat and inventory systems, so their weapons are not interchangeable loadout choices. Grace’s sections emphasize evasion, enemy analysis, puzzles, and crafting from infected blood; supplies and inventory space are limited. She can store weapons in safe rooms, but does not upgrade them. Leon’s sections are more combat-focused: he carries an attaché case, manages gear through supply boxes, and can buy and upgrade firearms there. His hatchet supports melee attacks and parries; it loses sharpness with use and can be sharpened again. When comparing Leon’s firearms, the game’s listed axes include power, stability, precision, rate of fire, reload speed, and ammo capacity. A high-damage weapon may be a poor fit when capacity or reload time matters more; there is no universally best choice independent of the encounter and ammunition available. The Requiem revolver is a powerful, piercing assault revolver with limited capacity, and both characters use it over the course of the story. Grace’s story weapons and throwable items
These items are acquired through Grace’s campaign. A “found” item may be tucked into an area or tied to story progression; Molotov Cocktails and Bottles of Acid can also be crafted once Grace has learned the relevant recipe.

The location guides list the B934 and S&S M232 as handguns with different descriptions, but do not establish a dependable ranking between them. GameSpot’s weapon guide and PowerPyx’s weapon list provide the item names and locations.
Leon’s story weapons and items
Leon starts with some of this gear; other items are picked up along the route or gained through progression. “Story weapon” here means a campaign acquisition, not necessarily a permanent unlock for every later run.

Leon can also use an enemy’s chainsaw during an encounter, as described by PlayStation Blog. The reviewed location guides do not list it as an ordinary, persistent inventory weapon, so it is not included in the table above.

Leon’s supply-box purchases
These are bought rather than discovered as pickups. A location guide reports that they become available in East Raccoon City and are purchased with credits earned by defeating enemies.

Because Leon can sell and buy weapons at supply boxes, purchase availability is part of loadout planning rather than a one-time map pickup. Check the box’s current inventory and your credits before deciding whether to sell or store a firearm. PowerPyx’s guide describes the supply-box system and these purchases.

Challenge-point rewards and campaign progress affect bonus weapon availability. The guides describe these as special-content unlocks purchased with challenge points after campaign progress or a first playthrough; exact availability can depend on difficulty and progression. Confirm the unlock conditions shown in your game’s bonus-content menu.

GameSpot spells the unbreakable Grace knife “Kotetsu”; PowerPyx renders it “Koktesu.” These appear to refer to the same item, not two separate knives. Check the in-game menu for the spelling in your version. The names and unlock descriptions above are drawn from GameSpot and PowerPyx.

The R.I.P. Knife is listed as an Insanity-mode exclusive, with guide descriptions tying its availability to Antique Coins or a crafting recipe. Because access details depend on difficulty and progression, check the relevant unlock or crafting requirement in your run rather than assuming it is available in a standard campaign. Both GameSpot and PowerPyx identify it with Insanity mode.
How to plan your loadout
- As Grace, preserve space. Her limited inventory makes it useful to distinguish weapons you need to carry from items you can leave stored in a safe room.
- As Leon, use supply boxes deliberately. The attaché case and ability to sell, store, buy, and upgrade equipment give more flexibility, but credits and case space still shape choices.
- Compare the relevant stat, not just damage. Rate of fire, reload speed, capacity, stability, and precision all affect a weapon’s usefulness in a particular fight.
- Separate campaign gear from unlocks. A story pickup, a supply-box purchase, and a challenge-point reward follow different acquisition rules; unlocks may require campaign progress or a particular difficulty.
Why weapon totals differ between guides
A roster that counts firearms only will be shorter than one that also includes knives, Leon’s hatchet, grenades, Molotov Cocktails, Bottles of Acid, temporary enemy weapons, and post-game unlocks. Some items also appear in more than one acquisition context: Mortal Edge is listed as a story drop and bonus content. For that reason, this guide groups items by character and route rather than claiming a single definitive total. Capcom’s official release announcement describes the game broadly as featuring weapons and other survival items, but does not give a Requiem weapon count. Capcom’s announcement names the game as the ninth main installment and gave a February 27, 2026 release date. Capcom’s platform announcements named PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with Nintendo Switch 2 later announced for launch; platform availability can vary by edition and storefront. Capcom’s announcement
