There are 15 Wolf Statues in DOOM: The Dark Ages, spread across four chapters: three in Chapter 6, three in Chapter 9, five in Chapter 16, and four in Chapter 20. Throw your shield at each statue, then return to the chapter’s Spectral Wolves reward area to claim the reward. Chapter 6 awards a Ruby; each of the other three chapters awards a Wraithstone. Finding all five in Chapter 16 also completes the “Hunter” secret challenge.

The location descriptions below use landmarks and directions rather than claiming a single exact statue order where guide descriptions conflict. The Game Slayer’s guide, dated May 14, 2025 and listed as updated September 12, 2026, and Beebom’s May 20, 2025 guide agree on the chapter counts and rewards, but differ on some Chapter 16 and Chapter 20 route details. Chapter 6: The Siege Part 1 — 3 statues
The statues are near the artillery-cannon objective and the Spectral Wolves area. Use the Wolves as your return point after destroying all three.
- From the Spectral Wolves, drop down to the left and turn left again. Look beside a rock in the water for the first statue.
- Continue left and straight until you reach a small hole beside a fallen tree and broken cart. The second statue is there.
- Turn back and continue ahead toward the rocks above. Find the third statue with a broken bridge behind it.
After breaking the set with shield throws, return to the Spectral Wolves to collect one Ruby.

Chapter 9: The Ancestral Forge — 3 statues
Two statues are on routes around the level entrance and Spectral Wolves; the third is behind a locked door. One statue’s barricade is tied to a combat encounter, and the locked route requires the Secret Key.
- Raised cliff: Look slightly to the right of the Spectral Wolves for a statue on a raised cliff.
- Enemy-gated route: Follow the left path near the level entrance. Defeat the enemies to clear the barricade and reach the statue.
- Secret Key door: The final statue is behind a locked door. The key is northwest of the Ancestral Heart Charge point, behind a breakable wall; collect it to open the door.
Once all three statues are destroyed, return to the Spectral Wolves reward area for one Wraithstone.

Chapter 16: The Kar’Thul Marshes — 5 statues
The Spectral Wolves and reward area are around the middle of the map. The route descriptions agree on the first four landmarks more closely than on the fifth, so use the named features to check your position rather than relying on a strict numbered sequence.
- At the start of the chapter, head left. The first statue is on a cliff edge near the entrance.
- Drop down and follow the linear route to an open space. Turn left and descend another ledge to find the second.
- Look beside the giant crater in the area where two worm enemies emerge for the third.
- Search the lower platform at the northeast cliff near Relic Fragments for the fourth.
- Near the Spectral Wolves, enter the tunnel and take the right-hand path to a corner for the fifth, as described by The Game Slayer and GamesRadar.
Beebom instead places the fifth statue behind a Secret Key door. Those route descriptions do not establish that both directions lead to the same statue, so check the in-game map and nearby doors if the tunnel route does not match what you see. Completing the set awards one Wraithstone and the “Hunter” secret challenge.

Chapter 20: Resurrection — 4 statues
The guides agree that this chapter has four statues and awards one Wraithstone, but their landmark sequences do not align well enough to treat one numbered order as definitive. These descriptions identify the reported landmarks; orient yourself with the Spectral Wolves and the surrounding paths as you search.
- Clearing and broken buildings: From the Spectral Wolves, take the left route to a clearing. Climb the ramp and turn right to find a statue beside broken buildings and debris.
- Cyan-lit tunnel: Turn back, drop from the ledge on the right, then take the left tunnel lit by cyan sticks. A statue is partway through.
- Ruin above the path: Continue out of the tunnel and go straight. After defeating the enemies, check the top of a ruin for a statue.
- Cultist Circle: Go back through the archway toward the Spectral Wolves, take two right turns, and break the Cultist Circle to reach the final statue.
Other guides describe some Chapter 20 statues using an underground trench or bridge and a combat encounter, but their ordering differs from the route above. If a landmark does not match your map, use the Spectral Wolves area to reorient rather than assuming the sequence is identical across descriptions.

How to finish a chapter’s Wolf Statue puzzle
- Explore the chapter for each statue using the landmarks above.
- Throw your shield at every statue to destroy it.
- Return to the Spectral Wolves or the associated reward area and collect the unlocked item.
The second cited guide notes that the reward area is marked on the map once you have passed it. Use that marker to retrace the route if you have finished the statues but cannot find the reward.
