Yes—Amazon Luna really did offer EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 to Amazon Prime members at no additional game charge. The limited-time promotion ran from January 10 through February 10, 2026, wherever Luna cloud gaming was available. It has now ended.
This was temporary streaming access through Luna, not a permanent copy of Madden NFL 26 to keep on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the EA app.

What Amazon actually offered
Amazon’s January 2026 Luna update confirmed that Prime members could stream EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 without paying an additional game fee during the promotional window.
Amazon promoted the lineup around the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LX. The announcement listed Madden alongside other Luna additions, including Sid Meier’s Civilization VI and The Jackbox Party Pack 3.
#1 Best Overall
- Dominate the league in EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26.
- Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay.
- Every game is a new challenge on your path to becoming an NFL legend.
- For Nintendo Switch 2 console only. Not compatible with Nintendo Switch.
The same update also mentioned other Amazon Games content, including Reflections of Life: Dark Architect Collector’s Edition. That does not mean every title in the broader Amazon Games announcement was available through Luna; Madden’s inclusion specifically referred to Amazon’s cloud-gaming service.
When was Madden NFL 26 available on Luna?
| Detail | What Amazon announced |
|---|---|
| Game | EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 |
| Service | Amazon Luna |
| Eligibility | Amazon Prime members |
| Start date | January 10, 2026 |
| End date | February 10, 2026 |
| Cost during the promotion | No additional game charge for eligible Prime members |
| Regional availability | Wherever Luna cloud delivery was available |
Because the offer ended on February 10, 2026, readers finding old January articles should not assume that joining Prime now restores the promotion or unlocks Madden through the same deal.
What “free” meant
In this case, “free” meant included with an active Prime membership for a limited time. It did not mean that Amazon permanently gave players a license to Madden NFL 26.

- Dominate the league in EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26.
- Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay.
- Every game is a new challenge on your path to becoming an NFL legend.
- You did not receive a permanent PC or console copy.
- You could not assume the game would remain available after February 10.
- Prime membership was still required; this was not a general Luna offer for everyone.
- The promotion did not automatically include paid add-ons, downloadable content, or every edition-specific feature.
- Access through Luna was not the same as owning Madden on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the EA app.
Amazon describes Prime’s Luna benefit as access to a rotating selection of included games. A game’s presence in that selection should therefore be treated as a membership benefit subject to its stated availability period, not as ownership.
How access worked
During the promotional period, the practical route was:
- Sign in to the Amazon account associated with an eligible Prime membership.
- Open Amazon Luna through its website or a supported Luna device or app.
- Find Madden NFL 26 in the Prime-included Luna selection.
- Start the cloud stream and play using a compatible controller or supported input method.
Amazon describes Luna as a way to play without purchasing a traditional console, and its Fire TV documentation describes Luna access for Prime members. The exact device support, controller compatibility, and interface can vary by region and may change over time.
Rank #3
- EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 is the premier American football video game, officially licensed by the NFL; The physical Standard Edition contains the full game
- QB DNA; star NFL quarterbacks move, look and feel like the superstars they are
- Explosive NFL gameplay; burst upfield like Saquon with updated player movement to reflect the explosive athleticism only the NFL can deliver; physics-based interactions now include catch tackles, stiff-arms, and trucks for improved collision control
- Defensive control and strategy; control your pass-coverage depth with new custom zones; perfect your pass rush strategy with new stunts and twist options at the line
- Coach DNA: Experience real coaching styles like Dan Campbell's fourth-down aggression, Kevin O'Connell's creative offensive approach, and more, adding new layers of strategy to every matchup
Cloud streaming also has practical limitations. The game runs remotely, so connection quality, latency, congestion, and local Luna availability can affect the experience. A controller is the sensible choice for a sports game such as Madden, although the specific supported input methods depend on the device and service configuration.
Where was the offer available?
Amazon qualified the promotion as available wherever Luna cloud delivery was available. That means Prime membership alone did not guarantee access in every country.
Readers outside supported Luna markets may not have been able to start the game, even if they had Prime. Regional catalogues, device support, and account eligibility can also differ, so the announcement should not be read as a worldwide Madden giveaway.

Did Prime members get the full Madden experience?
Amazon confirmed access to Madden NFL 26 through Luna, but the announcement did not guarantee every mode, online feature, cross-play feature, cross-progression benefit, downloadable add-on, or technical setting available in the local console or PC versions.
The safe conclusion is that Prime members received a chance to stream the game through Luna during the stated dates. It would be inaccurate to promise console-equivalent performance or claim that every Madden feature was included without separate documentation.
Luna streaming versus buying Madden
| Luna promotion | Buying a game |
|---|---|
| Temporary access during the January 10–February 10 window | Typically intended as longer-term access under the platform’s license terms |
| Required Prime, Luna availability, and an internet connection | May still require downloads, updates, supported hardware, and an internet connection for some features |
| No separate Madden game fee during the promotion | Requires a separate purchase or subscription entitlement |
| Game streamed from Amazon’s servers | May run locally on a console or PC, depending on the platform |
| No automatic Steam, EA app, Xbox, or PlayStation entitlement | Access is tied to the store or platform where it was purchased |
What happened after February 10?
The Prime inclusion expired when the announced promotional period ended. A later listing of Madden on Luna, if one appeared, would not by itself prove that the January Prime offer was still active. Likewise, an old headline saying Madden was “free” should be read in its original date context.
Amazon’s current Luna information is available through its Amazon Games page, but catalogues and membership benefits can rotate. Anyone checking access now should rely on the live Luna catalogue and current regional terms rather than the expired January announcement.
Bottom line
Amazon’s Madden NFL 26 Luna promotion was legitimate, but it was easy to misunderstand. Prime members could stream the game at no additional game charge from January 10 to February 10, 2026, where Luna was supported. The offer was temporary cloud access—not permanent ownership—and it is no longer active.
