This was a July 2024 Prime Day promotion, not a current 2026 giveaway. Amazon’s Prime Gaming offer ultimately included 18 PC games, but the claim windows tied to Prime Day on July 16–17, 2024 have expired. Joining Prime now will not retroactively unlock the bundle.
The promotion began as a 15-game announcement and expanded by three titles on July 11, 2024. The games were released in stages and could require different third-party storefronts, including GOG and the Epic Games Store.

Why the lineup changed from 15 games to 18
Amazon’s original Prime Gaming announcement promoted 15 games in the lead-up to Prime Day. On July 11, 2024, Amazon added Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Chivalry 2, and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, bringing the final total to 18.

The three additions were scheduled to become claimable for 48 hours beginning July 16, 2024, at 3 a.m. Eastern Time. The first 15 games rolled out earlier in staggered claim windows. For the historical dates and final lineup, see the contemporaneous coverage.
Which games were the highlights?
The bundle mixed recognizable commercial releases with older catalog titles and smaller independent games. The biggest names included Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and Chivalry 2. The package also offered familiar catalog favorites such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords, and Hitman Absolution.
Forager, Card Shark, Soulstice, and Wall World gave the selection more variety, but the 18 games were not equal in age, scale, or commercial profile. The headline number described the quantity—not 18 new major releases.

How Prime Gaming redemption worked
During the promotion, claiming a game and playing it were separate steps:
- Sign in to the Prime Gaming or Amazon gaming benefits page with an eligible Prime account.
- Select a title while its individual claim window was open.
- Follow the redemption instructions shown for that game.
- Complete any required code redemption or account linking on the destination storefront.
- Download and launch the game through the storefront associated with the redeemed license.
There was no single universal Amazon launcher entitlement for all 18 games. The promotion used different destinations, including GOG and the Epic Games Store. The exact storefront and redemption method depended on the individual Prime Gaming listing, so anyone reviewing an old claim should check which account received the game.
Additional requirements could include a third-party account, internet activation, a publisher account, or online services. Claiming a game also did not guarantee that every multiplayer feature would remain available indefinitely.

Do you keep the games after claiming them?
A successful redemption to a third-party storefront generally associated the license with that storefront account, rather than requiring the member to claim the game again every month. That is different from merely accessing a temporary Prime benefit or downloading an installer.
Because ownership and activation terms can differ by title and storefront, the safest evidence is the destination account’s library and the terms displayed on the original claim page. A person who never completed the required redemption before the deadline should not assume that having seen the offer—or having downloaded a temporary benefit—created a permanent license.
Can you claim the 18 games now?
No. This was a fixed 2024 promotion, and its original claim windows had passed by August 2026. A current Prime subscription does not restore a missed 2024 claim.

Readers looking for games available today should use the current Prime Gaming catalog instead. If considering Prime for other benefits, use the official Prime page; do not sign up expecting to receive this expired 18-game bundle.

For an existing Prime member, the games were an extra benefit with no additional charge during the claim period. For someone considering a subscription solely for this bundle, the answer depended on several factors:

- Library overlap: The value was lower if you already owned the major titles.
- Claim timing: Staggered releases and short windows made it possible to miss games.
- Launcher fragmentation: Games could be divided between GOG, Epic, and other title-specific destinations.
- Personal taste: The collection covered stealth action, role-playing, strategy, multiplayer combat, beat ’em ups, and indie games, but not every title suited every player.
- Other Prime benefits: Prime Day access, shipping, video, music, and recurring Prime Gaming offers could matter more than the one-time bundle.
It would be misleading to assign the package a precise current dollar value without checking the relevant historical prices, editions, and regional terms. The practical assessment is simpler: it was a broad, recognizable bonus for people who already had Prime, but a less compelling reason to buy a membership if the games were the only goal.

Important qualifications
Prime Gaming catalogs, claim methods, and eligibility can vary by country. The available historical reporting does not establish that every title or redemption route was identical worldwide. Storefront licenses can also differ from Amazon’s general Prime terms.
The original promotion-era suggestion that someone could join Prime for a month was not a guarantee about every current trial, price, cancellation policy, or regional plan. Those terms change and should be checked directly with Amazon.
