- Open the Previous Versions section.
- Choose the correct Windows edition.
- Locate AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1.
- Confirm the November 13, 2025 release date and WHQL status, then click AMD’s download button.
AMD’s manual product selector is preferable when you need a particular archived version. AMD’s Auto-Detect tool is designed primarily to find the latest compatible package, so it may not offer 25.11.1 specifically.
If you are not tied to this archived release and Windows reports an outdated or incompatible hardware driver, Outbyte Driver Updater is an optional way to check for a compatible update.
A direct AMD-hosted package is also available at whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.11.1-win11-nov-combined.exe. Use the AMD page route first, especially on Windows 10, because AMD may reject a direct request that did not originate from an AMD page.
Why the direct link may say Download Not Complete
AMD’s download server can check the referring page. The download may fail if you copied the URL into the address bar, used Save As, opened it from another website, or used a download manager or browser setting that suppresses the HTTP referrer. If that happens:
- Open the official release-notes page or your AMD product page.
- Click the download button on AMD.com rather than pasting the direct URL.
- Do not route the file through a download manager unless it can send the AMD page’s referrer.
- If necessary, remove only the browser or download-manager setting that blocks referrers, then retry from AMD.com.
AMD documents this behavior on its Download Not Complete support page.
Do not rely on a universal file-size figure. AMD archive pages show examples around 913 MB and 924 MB, but the displayed size can vary by graphics product and driver branch.
What Adrenalin 25.11.1 adds
New product support
AMD adds support for the AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D.
New game support
The release notes list new support for:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Anno 117: Pax Romana
- ARC Raiders
New game support does not mean a guaranteed FPS increase. AMD’s release notes do not promise a universal performance uplift for these games, and the release should not be treated as automatically faster on every Radeon GPU.
Technical Vulkan additions
For developers and technically minded users, AMD’s Vulkan driver documentation associates the 25.11.1 release with these extensions:
VK_KHR_surface_maintenance1VK_KHR_swapchain_maintenance1VK_EXT_host_image_copyVK_KHR_maintenance9VK_KHR_copy_memory_indirect
These are API-level capabilities. They are not switches that most players can enable in Adrenalin’s graphics settings. See AMD’s Vulkan driver version page for the technical mapping.
Fixed issues in 25.11.1
AMD lists two fixed issues in the release notes:
- An intermittent application crash while playing games with Easy Anti-Cheat enabled when the Radeon Overlay is in use.
- CPU metrics or tuning controls not appearing in AMD Software after updating through AMD Software Install Manager.
These are issues AMD says the release addresses; that is not a guarantee that every similarly described crash or missing control on every system will be resolved.
Known issues that remain
These warnings are important when deciding whether to install an archived driver. AMD still lists the following problems for 25.11.1:
| Issue | Affected scenario | Workaround or status |
|---|---|---|
| Crash or driver timeout | Loading a saved game in Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing enabled | AMD does not list a final workaround in the release notes. |
| Crash or driver timeout | Battlefield 6 on systems using the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 | AMD lists the issue as intermittent and says it is working with the game developer. |
| Crash or driver timeout | Roblox Player, specifically Car Zone Racing & Drifting, when task-switching between media on Radeon RX 7000 products | No final workaround is listed by AMD. |
| Texture flickering or corruption | Battlefield 6 when AMD Record and Stream is being used on some AMD graphics products | No final workaround is listed. |
| Radeon Anti-Lag 2 unavailable | Counter-Strike 2 using DX11 on some products, including the Radeon RX 9070 XT | AMD’s temporary workaround is to use the Vulkan renderer. |
| System crash during display standby | Some high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 displays | AMD recommends DisplayPort as a temporary workaround. |
For the HDMI issue, DisplayPort is AMD’s stated workaround; a cable change should not be presented as a guaranteed fix. If DisplayPort is unavailable and standby crashes are unacceptable, test another driver branch instead.
For the Counter-Strike 2 Anti-Lag 2 problem, switch the game to Vulkan if that option is available. Vulkan may avoid this specific DX11 limitation, but it is not a universal solution for every Anti-Lag 2 problem.
Supported Radeon graphics products
AMD’s 25.11.1 release notes list the following discrete Radeon families:

Polaris and Vega families are not included in this release’s listed support. Owners of cards such as the Radeon RX 580, RX 570, RX 480, RX 470, or Vega graphics should not assume that 25.11.1 applies to them. Use the specific legacy-driver page for the exact product instead.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteLaptop and all-in-one compatibility
AMD lists these mobile Radeon families:
- Radeon RX 7900M, RX 7800M, and RX 7600M
- Radeon RX 6800M, RX 6700M, RX 6600M, RX 6500M, and RX 6300M
- Radeon RX 5700M, RX 5600M, RX 5500M, and RX 5300M
AMD describes the package as a notebook reference graphics driver with limited support for system-vendor-specific features. A laptop GPU appearing on the compatibility list does not automatically make the generic AMD package the best choice.
Prefer the laptop or all-in-one manufacturer’s driver when you rely on:
- Hybrid-graphics switching or display routing
- Panel brightness and display hotkeys
- Power-management profiles
- Hardware mux controls
- Camera features
- Vendor tuning utilities and custom performance modes
If those features stop working after installing 25.11.1, reinstall the driver supplied on the manufacturer’s support page. OEM drivers may be older, but they contain the system-specific customizations that AMD’s reference package may lack.
Integrated Radeon graphics
AMD lists compatible processor families with Radeon Graphics, including:

Exact availability depends on the processor, platform, and operating system. Select the exact processor model on AMD’s support site instead of assuming that every integrated Radeon design uses the same package.
Important exclusions
- Handheld gaming devices: AMD says this Adrenalin package does not support handheld gaming devices. Use the handheld maker’s driver package or update utility.
- Apple Boot Camp: AMD says 25.11.1 is not intended for Radeon products running in Apple Boot Camp. Boot Camp users should contact the system manufacturer for driver support.
Windows versions supported by 25.11.1
For this specific release, AMD lists:
- Windows 11 version 21H2 and later
- Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 and later
Do not replace these release-specific requirements with the broader requirements shown in some newer AMD installation guides. The 25.11.1 release notes are the relevant authority for this historical package.
WHQL status and version numbers
AMD’s archive labels Adrenalin 25.11.1 WHQL Recommended. The release notes also state that the WHQL test suite passed and that Microsoft certification passed on Windows 11. That wording should not be expanded into a claim that every listed hardware and operating-system combination has an identical certification result.
Several different numbers can identify the same installation. AMD’s GPUOpen version table maps the main 25.11.1 WHQL branch as follows:

| Windows Driver Store version | 32.0.22029.1019 |
| Vulkan driver | 2.0.373 |
AMD’s separate RDNA 1/RDNA 2 path is listed with different internal numbers:
- AMD driver package branch: 25.10.33.03
- Windows Driver Store version: 32.0.21033.3005
- Vulkan driver: 2.0.353
Therefore, seeing 32.0.22029.1019 or another lower-level version in Windows does not by itself mean the wrong driver was installed. The Adrenalin marketing version and Windows driver-store version are different identifiers.
To check in Windows, right-click Start, open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, open your Radeon device’s Properties, and select the Driver tab. In AMD Software, the release and component information is generally available under the gear icon and Settings > System, although labels can vary between Adrenalin builds.
Why RX 5000 and RX 6000 users may see a different branch
In November 2025, AMD announced separate driver paths:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- One path for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2, including Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 products
- Another path for RDNA 3 and RDNA 4, including Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 products
AMD said RX 5000 and RX 6000 cards would continue receiving new-game support, stability and game optimizations, security updates, and bug fixes. The internal package and Windows driver numbers can differ between the two paths even when the public Adrenalin release is labeled 25.11.1. AMD’s explanation is available in its continued Radeon support announcement.

Should you install Adrenalin 25.11.1?
Install 25.11.1 if:
- You need to reproduce a 2025 system image or compatibility test.
- A technician, developer, benchmark procedure, or troubleshooting guide specifically requires 25.11.1.
- You are investigating a regression in a newer driver and this is a tested fallback for your system.
- You need the release’s baseline support for Black Ops 7, Anno 117: Pax Romana, or ARC Raiders.
- You need the two fixes documented by AMD and have confirmed that the remaining known issues do not affect your setup.
Prefer current 26.7.1 if:
- You are performing an ordinary driver update.
- You are installing Windows or a Radeon GPU for the first time.
- You want current hardware support, game support, and bug fixes.
- You own newer hardware that may receive more complete support in the 26.x branch.
As of August 9, 2026, Adrenalin 26.7.1, released July 28, 2026, is newer and is the sensible default for a normal installation.
Stay on your current driver if:
- Your system is stable and none of 25.11.1’s fixes or game support is relevant.
- Your laptop is working correctly with a validated OEM driver.
- You depend on display, recording, streaming, overlay, or tuning features that could be disrupted by a driver change.
- You have no specific reason to move backward from a newer driver.
How to install 25.11.1 safely
Download the installer before removing an existing driver. Close games and other applications, then double-click the AMD .exe file. Allow it to unpack using the default extraction location unless you have a specific reason to change it.
The installer checks hardware and software compatibility. Accept the applicable EULA, then choose the installation type that matches your needs:
| Installation type | What it provides | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Default | Full AMD Software features, including gaming controls, recording, streaming, and performance controls | Most desktop users who want the complete Adrenalin interface |
| Minimal | Basic controls without advanced performance-tuning or recording and capture features | Users who want some AMD controls with fewer components |
| Driver Only | Display driver without the AMD Software user interface | Users who want the driver but not Adrenalin’s control panel |
Allow the installation to finish. A brief display flicker or temporary loss of the picture is normal while the display driver is replaced. Approve administrator prompts when Windows requests them, and restart if the installer asks you to do so.
AMD’s current installation documentation is based on a newer Adrenalin release, so individual screens may look different from the 25.11.1 installer. The general sequence is documented in AMD’s Adrenalin installation guide.
Use Factory Reset only when you need it
The installer’s optional Factory Reset removes previous AMD Software package versions, temporarily pauses Windows Update, restarts the system, and continues the installation after reboot. It also prevents the normal installer path from rolling back to the previously installed driver.
Factory Reset is therefore not the best first step for a routine update or a cautious downgrade. Reserve it for persistent package conflicts or when you deliberately want a clean installation and have another recovery driver ready.
How to uninstall or roll back to 25.11.1
Start with Windows Installed apps
AMD recommends trying a normal uninstall before using its cleanup tool:
- Open the Windows Start menu and search for Installed apps.
- Find AMD Software.
- Choose Uninstall.
- If multiple AMD Radeon Software entries are present, remove the applicable conflicting entries.
- Allow the screen to flicker or go blank temporarily.
- Restart Windows when prompted.
- Install the downloaded 25.11.1 package.
Use AMD’s official uninstall instructions if the labels on your Windows build differ.
Use AMD Cleanup Utility when a normal uninstall fails
Use AMD Cleanup Utility when the installer repeatedly fails, newer and older packages appear mixed together, the Adrenalin interface does not match the installed display driver, or a downgrade requires removal of residual AMD display and audio components.
For broader Windows stability or cleanup problems that remain after the driver-specific steps, Outbyte PC Repair is an optional troubleshooting aid; it does not replace AMD Cleanup Utility or the official driver package.
Recommended Free Tools
AMD says the utility removes previously installed AMD graphics and audio drivers and software, but it does not remove AMD chipset drivers. AMD recommends running it in Windows Safe Mode for the best results. The cleanup can take approximately 15–20 minutes; the screen may flicker or go blank, and a reboot is required for the changes to take effect. Do not interrupt the process merely because the display temporarily disappears.
After the reboot, install the 25.11.1 installer you downloaded earlier. If the machine is a laptop or all-in-one, use the manufacturer’s package instead when the generic AMD driver has caused missing hotkeys, brightness controls, power profiles, display routing, or other OEM-specific problems.
Additional troubleshooting
Adrenalin will not open or the overlay is unstable
Some community discussions report additional experiences after installing 25.11.1, including Adrenalin failing to open, overlay problems, mouse or input issues, and general instability. These are anecdotal reports, not confirmed universal defects. AMD’s official known-issues list remains the appropriate source for definitive release warnings.

If the problem is severe, first try a normal uninstall and reinstall. If package versions appear mismatched or the installer fails, use AMD Cleanup Utility in Safe Mode and reinstall. Community reports can be found in discussions such as this Radeon thread and this AMD Help thread, but treat them as troubleshooting leads rather than proof that every installation is affected.

If the computer crashes when a high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 display enters standby, try DisplayPort if both the GPU and monitor support it. Update display firmware where appropriate, but do not assume that changing the cable will universally resolve the driver issue. If DisplayPort is not possible, testing another driver is the more useful fallback.
Bottom line
Adrenalin 25.11.1 is legitimate, archived, and still useful for a specific 2025 compatibility target. It adds support for the Ryzen 5 7500X3D and three games, fixes two AMD-documented problems, and carries WHQL Recommended status. It also retains known crash, timeout, rendering, Anti-Lag 2, and HDMI standby issues.
Use AMD’s product page and Previous Versions archive rather than an untrusted mirror. Choose the exact product and Windows version, prefer an OEM package on laptops when system-specific features matter, and keep the installer available before uninstalling. For ordinary use on August 9, 2026, install the newer 26.7.1 release instead unless you have a clear reason to match or return to 25.11.1.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is AMD Adrenalin 25.11.1 still available?
Yes. AMD continues to provide it through its previous-driver archive for compatible products. Open AMD’s Drivers and Support page, select the exact GPU or processor, choose Previous Versions, and download 25.11.1 from AMD.com.
Is Adrenalin 25.11.1 the latest AMD driver?
No. As of August 9, 2026, AMD’s newer official release is Adrenalin 26.7.1, released July 28, 2026. Use 25.11.1 mainly for historical compatibility, reproduction, troubleshooting, or a specific game baseline.
Does Adrenalin 25.11.1 support Windows 10?
Yes, but AMD specifies Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 and later for this release. AMD also lists Windows 11 version 21H2 and later.
Does 25.11.1 support the Radeon RX 580 or Vega graphics?
Those older Polaris and Vega families are not listed in the 25.11.1 release notes. Do not install this package based only on the Radeon brand; select the exact product on AMD’s support site and use its applicable legacy driver.
Can I install 25.11.1 on a laptop?
AMD lists several mobile Radeon families, but calls the package a notebook reference driver with limited OEM-feature support. The laptop manufacturer’s driver is usually safer when you need hybrid graphics, brightness hotkeys, power profiles, mux controls, or vendor utilities.
Does 25.11.1 support Steam Deck or another handheld gaming PC?
AMD explicitly says this Adrenalin package does not support handheld gaming devices. Use the handheld manufacturer’s driver package or update utility.
Why does Device Manager show a different number from Adrenalin 25.11.1?
The public Adrenalin release number differs from AMD’s internal package number and the Windows Driver Store number. The main branch is mapped to package branch 25.20.29.01 and Windows version 32.0.22029.1019. RDNA 1/RDNA 2 systems may use 25.10.33.03 and 32.0.21033.3005 instead.
Why does the AMD direct download say Download Not Complete?
AMD may require the download to be initiated from an AMD page. Open the release-notes or product page on AMD.com and click its Download button instead of copying the direct .exe URL, using Save As, or routing the request through a referrer-blocking download manager.
How do I return to 25.11.1 from a newer AMD driver?
Download 25.11.1 first, try removing AMD Software from Windows Installed apps, restart, and install the archived package. If that fails, use AMD Cleanup Utility—preferably in Safe Mode—restart, and then install 25.11.1. Avoid Factory Reset unless you specifically want a clean installation because it removes previous packages and prevents the normal installer rollback path.
