How do I play Among Us with friends?
First choose whether your group will connect online or use local Wi-Fi. In either case, players join a multiplayer game together. Once the match starts, most players are Crewmates: complete tasks as a team, or win by filling the task bar. Impostors try to kill Crewmates and frame others; the group can eject Impostors through meetings and votes. Innersloth describes the game as supporting “4-15 players online or via local WiFi” (Innersloth’s Among Us game page).

How do you play Among Us online with friends?
Connect using the Friends List
Innersloth’s Friends List feature supports unique friend codes, friend requests, lobby invitations, and a list of recently played players. It also includes blocking and controls for invite notifications. Use the in-game Friends List to connect with the people you want to play with, then invite friends to your lobby. The feature details were announced in a March 2022 update; the source does not establish the exact button names or screen placement in the current version, so follow the labels shown in your game rather than relying on an older menu guide (Innersloth’s Friends List announcement).
Know what to do once everyone joins
Crewmates should work through their assigned tasks and pay attention to suspicious behavior. When a meeting is called, players discuss what they saw and vote; the group can eject a suspected Impostor. Impostors try to eliminate Crewmates and cast suspicion on others. A Crewmate team can also win by completing the group task bar.

If chat options are unavailable
Chat choices can depend on whether you are logged in, your account status, age rules, and parental permissions. In the game, check Settings > Data > Chat Type. Innersloth’s FAQ says that if you cannot toggle the chat settings, you may not be logged in, may not have a full account, or may need parental permission. Child accounts may require a parent or guardian’s permission for account features. Do not try to get around age or consent settings; ask a parent or guardian if permission is needed (Innersloth FAQ; Innersloth account information).
Can you play Among Us locally with friends?
Yes. Innersloth lists local Wi-Fi as a supported way to play, with 4–15 players as the stated overall range. The official game page confirms the mode but does not provide a current, complete sequence for hosting or joining a local game. Because menus and available steps can vary by game build or platform, check the instructions in your current game before your group starts; do not assume a particular host/join path or network fix from an older guide (Innersloth’s Among Us game page).
