When does Turkey Day happen, and how do you access it?
Turkey Day is a seasonal event introduced in Ver. 1.6.0. Nintendo says special events occur on specific calendar days, and the game follows the date and time set on your console. Nintendo’s support pages do not specify an exact start or end hour, so do not rely on a particular time of day.
If Franklin is not on your island when you expect the event, Nintendo recommends confirming that your console date and time are accurate, your game has the latest update, and your system is connected to the internet with a Nintendo Account linked to a user profile when the event is scheduled. What ingredients does Franklin need?
The recipe and reward details below are from Nintendo Wire’s Turkey Day guide, a specialist secondary source. Nintendo’s cited support pages do not list these recipes. The guide provides the following ingredients and standard rewards:

How do secret ingredients and rewards work?
After Franklin accepts a dish’s standard ingredients, provide its secret ingredient to receive a random Turkey Day DIY furniture recipe, according to Nintendo Wire’s guide. The reward is random for an individual dish; the guide says completing the secret-ingredient set leads to all Turkey Day DIY furniture recipes.
The guide also says that learning the “Turkey Day Recipes” DIY set lets you cook the four dishes later when you have their ingredients. It does not establish a specific random DIY recipe for each particular secret ingredient, so there is no guaranteed one-to-one reward mapping.

What if you are in the Southern Hemisphere?
The guide lists a separate Southern Hemisphere ingredient pair for gratin: squid and sea urchin, with Dungeness crab as the secret ingredient. Its available fish meunière information covers only the Northern Hemisphere; it does not establish the Southern Hemisphere ingredients. Check the in-game request or a current, reliable guide for that variation rather than substituting an unverified recipe.
