B tier: useful progression, support, and economy picks

That label means limited late-game scaling in that evaluation, not that they should be discarded immediately. Starter units can be the difference between clearing early Story stages and stalling before a roster has enough damage, range, or economy.
Use them temporarily, invest cautiously, and avoid spending scarce evolution or trait resources on a starter simply because it is familiar. Once a stronger unit can cover the same placement and damage requirement, move those resources to the replacement.
How to use this tier list on your own account
1. Separate base-unit value from evolved-unit value
Evolution is one of the largest reasons two players can report very different results with the same character. The April coverage emphasizes that evolved units are substantially stronger than their base versions and recommends evolving Mythic units when the required materials are available. Do not compare an evolved S-tier unit with an unevolved version of the same unit, or compare an unevolved S-tier copy with a fully built A-tier unit, as though the labels alone determine performance.

2. Check traits and stat rolls before replacing a unit
Traits are passive bonuses that can improve attributes such as damage, attack speed, critical performance, or range. Public community references also note that trait and stat grades can materially affect practical DPS. As a result, a well-built A-tier unit may outperform a poorly rolled S-tier unit in a particular account.
This does not make the tier list meaningless. It means the list is a starting point for investment decisions, while your actual unit card, evolution, traits, and placement determine the final result. Do not treat unverified trait odds or numerical gains as fixed facts.
3. Build around placement coverage
Anime Crusaders uses ground, hill, and hybrid placement categories. Public reference material identifies Sun Woo as ground, Brulo as hybrid, and Goko as hill. A roster containing only the highest names can still fail if the map does not offer suitable positions for them.
When assembling a team, ask four questions:
- Which units can attack from the positions available on the map?
- Do I have enough damage coverage for the enemy types and lanes in this stage?
- Can I handle waves that require crowd control, range, or aerial coverage?
- Do I have economy or support, or am I trying to solve every problem with another carry?
4. Account for the mode
The official Roblox description presents Anime Crusaders as a tower-defense game where players collect units, level them, unlock abilities, and defend against waves. Community references discuss Story, Infinite, events, raids, and challenge-oriented content, but those mode descriptions should be checked against the live interface because the available documentation is community-maintained.
Mode changes the meaning of a tier. Sun Woo’s summoner-style scaling is particularly appealing for long Infinite runs, while Speedcart can matter most when an early economy advantage determines whether expensive units arrive in time. If your team dies before it can fund its carry, add economy or early damage. If enemies leak because of positioning, add range or a different placement type. If waves overwhelm the lane, consider crowd control or support. If the team already has enough damage, AI (Idol), Enol, Getu, or another support-oriented option may add more practical value than a redundant attacker.
Recommended progression approach
- Use available starter and C-tier units to clear early content. Do not wait for a perfect S-tier roster before progressing.
- Add Speedcart or another economy option when costs become the limiting factor. Economy is valuable because it accelerates both deployment and upgrades.
- Replace temporary carries with stronger Legendary, Epic, Secret, Mythic, or Crusader options as they become available. Rarity alone is not enough; compare the job the unit performs.
- Prioritize evolution materials for units you will actually use. The April list assumes that evolved forms can substantially outperform base versions.
- Recheck traits, stat grades, and map placement before dismantling a functional team. A well-built alternative can be better than a badly built top-tier copy.
- Re-evaluate after each major update. New units, balance changes, banners, evolutions, and material requirements can invalidate an older snapshot.
