This is not an official developer tier list and not a recommendation for the current game. It covers only Legendary-rarity units and above; the March source excluded Rare and Epic units as replaceable.
Best Anime Rangers X units in the March 1 snapshot

S-tier element, type, and deployment cost
Tier alone does not tell you how easily a unit fits into a run. In the March snapshot, for example, Shadow Knight and Bunny had much lower deployment costs than Crimson Owl while all three were placed in S tier.
| Unit | Element / type | Deployment cost |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Owl | Physical / Air / Dark | 2,600 |
| Eclipse Sorcerer | Magic / Air / Dark | 1,200 |
| Fire Fist | Magic / Air / Fire | 1,000 |
| Oldfang Reaver | Physical / Ground / Water | 1,000 |
| Bunny | Physical / Ground / Lightning | 450 |
| Shadow Knight | Physical / Ground / Dark | 400 |
| Solar Fist | Physical / Ground / Sun | 1,000 |
| Cursed Love | Physical / Ground / Dark | 500 |
| Legendary Saiyan | Physical / Air / Lightning | 2,000 |
| Demon Slayer | Physical / Ground / Fire | 200 |
The March source did not provide matching element/type/cost details for every S-tier entry in the table, so this list intentionally does not invent missing stats for Limitless Sorcerer.

How to use a historical tier list
Use the ranking as a March 1 shortlist, then consider deployment cost and coverage needs. A cheap S-tier ground unit could be easier to bring online early, while a costly air unit may require a different economy plan. A tier label is not a guarantee of results, summon luck, or suitability for every mode.
Why this is not today’s Re:Rangers X list
The legacy Roblox listing is marked [OLD] Anime Rangers X, has no running experiences, and directs players to the newer Re:Rangers X place. An April 2026 third-party guide likewise reported that the game was rebranded in early March.

More importantly, the game changed after this snapshot. A reported Update 2.5 on March 21 added seven units, including Esper Kid variants, Teriyaki, Raiga, Claw Boss variants, Empire’s Queen, Red Eye, and Pink Sniper. Later Re:Rangers X rankings also use very different top tiers, featuring names such as Hero: Banshoman, Hawk Swordsman (Hunter), Explosion Girl (Mage), One Arm Pirate (Emperor), Esper Kid (???%), and Empire’s Queen. Balance changes, traits, evolutions, modes, and later unit releases make those later rankings a separate, dated meta—not a reason to rewrite the March list.
