Anjanath is a fire-breathing monster encountered in the Ancient Forest in Monster Hunter: World. Capcom’s beta guide warns hunters to watch for tail swipes, constricting bites, unpredictable jumps, and fire; it also points to footprints, carcasses, and mucus—including mucus on walls—as signs to track the monster.
Where to find Anjanath
Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World beta guidance places the Anjanath encounter in the Ancient Forest. The same guide says its tracks include footprints, carcasses, and mucus, which can also be found on walls. These details come from the beta guide and are not a version-by-version tracking manual.

What to watch for in the fight
Capcom’s broad warning is to watch for tail swipes, constricting bites, unpredictable jumps, and fire. The publisher describes Anjanath as relentless and notes that it brings new moves and strategies, but the beta advice does not provide a complete move list or detailed counter-strategy for every version of the game.
For an introductory hunt, keep the warning practical: pay attention to the monster’s position and movement, and do not assume that a brief opening means its attack sequence is over. The cited guide identifies the threats, but does not specify exact timing, elemental resistances, or equipment requirements.

How Fulgur Anjanath relates to Anjanath
Fulgur Anjanath is an Anjanath variant introduced in Capcom’s Iceborne-era coverage. Capcom described it as taking Anjanath’s core concept and adding an electric twist. That is promotional shorthand, not a full explanation of Fulgur Anjanath’s mechanics or a reliable basis for comparing the two monsters’ attacks.
Capcom also noted that Anjanath was the first monster it showed publicly for Monster Hunter: World. The remark gives the monster a notable place in the game’s reveal history, but does not establish its complete appearance history across the wider series.
