Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallanubisutils.dll is a third-party application file, not a Windows system component. It is most strongly associated with older Teleca mobile-connectivity software distributed through Samsung PC-sync products, so the safest fix is to repair or reinstall the parent application rather than download a replacement DLL.
The file is identified as the AnubisUtils Module, developed by Teleca Software Solutions AB. Public metadata classifies it as a Win32 DLL, which indicates a 32-bit file. No reliable evidence confirms a current 64-bit build.
Fix 1: Identify the program that needs anubisutils.dll
Time needed: 5 to 10 minutes
Start by identifying the application named in the error. The executable name and file path usually reveal which old program is trying to load the DLL.
Check the error dialog for wording such as:
- “This application failed to start because anubisutils.dll was not found.”
- “The file anubisutils.dll is missing or corrupted.”
- “A required component is missing: anubisutils.dll.”
- “Error loading anubisutils.dll. The specified module could not be found.”
- “The code execution cannot proceed because anubisutils.dll was not found.”
If the dialog names an executable, write it down. Then check the installed programs list:

- Press Windows + I.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Search for Samsung, PC Studio, PC Sync, EasyStudio, or Teleca.
- On Windows 10, open Settings → Apps → Apps & features instead.
You can also check the older Control Panel list:
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Look for Samsung phone software, PC-sync software, or an older mobile-device suite.
Samsung EasyStudio PC Sync inventories have listed anubisutils.dll alongside other Teleca mobile-connectivity modules. Teleca also supplied PC connectivity and synchronization software to mobile-phone manufacturers. That makes an old Samsung phone-management application a stronger suspect than Windows, a modern game, or a Microsoft runtime.
If you find the DLL on disk, record its location without moving it:
- Press Windows + E.
- Search for
anubisutils.dllfrom This PC. - Right-click the result and select Open file location.
- Copy the full folder path into a note.
A legitimate application DLL will normally be beside the executable or inside a folder belonging to the application. A copy in a temporary folder, an unfamiliar startup directory, or a random download location deserves a malware scan before use.
Fix 2: Repair the parent Samsung or Teleca application
Time needed: 5 to 15 minutes
If the related program is still installed, use its repair option first. This restores missing application files without requiring you to identify individual DLLs.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Open Settings with Windows + I.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Find Samsung PC Studio, EasyStudio, PC Sync, or the related application.
- Select the three-dot menu beside it.
- Choose Advanced options, if available.
- Select Repair.
- Restart Windows.
- Start the Samsung or Teleca application again.
Older desktop installers may not show an Advanced options entry. In that case:
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Select the related program.
- Choose Change, Repair, or a similarly named installer option.
- Follow the repair wizard.
- Restart Windows and test the application.
If the repair completes but the error remains, run the original installer again. Use the package intended for the same phone model and software generation. Historical Samsung support pages exposed packages with names such as New_PC_Studio_1.5.1.10064_2.exe, but these installers were model-specific and old. Do not mix files from different PC Studio generations.
The result you want is simple: the parent application starts without the anubisutils.dll error, and the DLL is restored inside the application’s own installation directory.
Fix 3: Uninstall and reinstall the exact legacy package
Time needed: 15 to 30 minutes
A clean reinstall is the most dependable repair when the program’s files were partially removed, damaged, or placed in the wrong directory.
Before uninstalling, obtain the original installer from a trusted backup or the relevant Samsung product-support page. If you cannot find a compatible installer and no longer need the software, uninstalling it is safer than reconstructing its files manually.

To reinstall:
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Find the Samsung or Teleca application.
- Select the three-dot menu.
- Select Uninstall.
- Complete the removal process.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the original installer.
- Install the package intended for the same phone model.
- Restart Windows again.
- Open the application from its normal shortcut.
If the installer fails, right-click it and select Run as administrator. Avoid changing the installation folder unless the installer requires it. Legacy software may expect its DLLs beside a particular executable.
If Windows reports that the program cannot run on the current version of Windows, try the compatibility troubleshooter:
- Right-click the installer or application shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Compatibility tab.
- Select Run compatibility troubleshooter.
- Follow the recommendations.
- Test the program after applying the suggested settings.
Compatibility mode cannot repair a missing DLL, but it can help an otherwise complete legacy application start on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFix 4: Check Windows Security quarantine
Time needed: 5 to 10 minutes
Antivirus software may have quarantined or deleted the file. This is especially possible when an old unsigned application contains outdated code or uses an unusual installation location.
Check the quarantine history before downloading anything:
- Open Start.
- Type Windows Security.
- Open the app.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Review recent detections.
- Expand any detection that names
anubisutils.dllor the parent application. - Note the detection name and original file path.
Do not restore the file merely because its name matches the error. Restore it only if it came from the original trusted installer or a known-good backup, and only after reviewing the detection and scanning the source.
If the file was quarantined and you trust the installer:
- Select the detection.
- Choose Restore, if Windows Security provides that action.
- Reinstall the parent application if restoration does not resolve the error.
- Run a full scan afterward.
Microsoft warns that restoring a quarantined file places it back on the device and may cause the detection to return. Do not disable antivirus protection just to obtain a replacement DLL.
Fix 5: Keep the DLL in the application folder
Time needed: 5 minutes
Do not copy anubisutils.dll into C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64 by default.

Windows normally searches the application directory when a program loads a DLL. Placing an application-specific file in a global Windows directory can cause another program to load the wrong version and can create harder-to-trace failures.
If you have a verified copy from the original installer or backup, it should normally be restored to the folder containing the executable that needs it. Do not rename it, place copies in both system directories, or overwrite a different file with the same name.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The architecture also matters. Public metadata points to a 32-bit anubisutils.dll. A 32-bit program cannot load a 64-bit DLL, and a 64-bit program cannot load a 32-bit DLL. On 64-bit Windows, older 32-bit applications run through the Windows 32-bit compatibility environment. That does not mean the application DLL belongs in SysWOW64.
If the application folder contains a different copy, do not combine files from separate installers. Reinstalling the complete parent program is safer than assembling a folder manually.
Fix 6: Handle “specified module could not be found”
Time needed: 10 to 20 minutes
The message “The specified module could not be found” does not always mean that anubisutils.dll itself is absent. Windows may have found the named DLL but failed to load a dependency that the DLL requires.
Proceed in this order:
- Confirm that
anubisutils.dllis in the application folder. - Check that the executable and its other files are still present.
- Run the parent application’s repair option.
- If repair fails, uninstall and reinstall the complete application.
- Restart Windows and test again.
Do not try random runtime installers first. A missing Visual C++ Redistributable, DirectX component, or .NET installation can cause some applications to fail, but none of those packages is the normal replacement for this application-specific DLL.
Install or repair a Microsoft runtime only when the error explicitly names that runtime or the application’s documentation requires it. The DirectX End-User Runtime addresses older DirectX components such as D3DX, XAudio 2.7, and XInput 1.3. Visual C++ Redistributables provide Microsoft runtime libraries. Neither package supplies the Teleca AnubisUtils module.
Fix 7: Repair Windows components only when Windows is also damaged
Time needed: 15 to 30 minutes
Because anubisutils.dll is a third-party application file, System File Checker normally will not restore it. Use Windows repair commands when several Windows components are failing, protected system files are damaged, or the problem began alongside broader operating-system errors.
Open an elevated Command Prompt:
- Open Start.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Select Yes at the User Account Control prompt.
Run these commands separately:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Wait for it to finish, then run:
sfc /scannow
Restart Windows after both commands complete. Test the affected application.

If SFC reports that it repaired files, test Windows and the application again. If it reports that it could not repair everything, repeat the repair process only after reviewing the result, and consider Windows recovery options if other system features are failing. Do not expect SFC to recreate a Teleca application file.

When manually hunting through system reports and repeating SFC or DISM does not make clear what changed, Outbyte PC Repair can scan for system problems and show what needs attention; its free scan identifies issues, while repair is performed by the full version. Reinstalling the Samsung or Teleca application remains the definitive fix when that program owns the missing DLL.
Fix 8: Update drivers only when the error involves a device connection
Time needed: 10 to 20 minutes
anubisutils.dll is identified as an application module, not a Windows driver. Reinstalling a phone driver is therefore not the normal repair.
Driver work is appropriate when the Samsung software starts but cannot detect the phone, or when Device Manager shows a separate device error.
To inspect devices:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Portable Devices, Universal Serial Bus controllers, and Other devices.
- Look for a yellow warning icon or an unidentified Samsung device.
- Right-click the affected device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if prompted.
If the device appeared after a failed update:
- Right-click it in Device Manager.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab.
- Choose Roll Back Driver, if available.
- Restart Windows.
Do not remove working drivers merely because anubisutils.dll is missing. Repair the parent application first.
Recommended Free Tools
When Device Manager leaves you hunting through multiple driver versions, Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and identify outdated drivers; its free scan shows what it found, while driver installation is handled by the full version. It is not a substitute for reinstalling the Samsung application that owns anubisutils.dll.
Fix 9: Use recovery tools only for a wider Windows failure
Time needed: 20 minutes to several hours
If the error appeared after a Windows update and several unrelated programs began failing, investigate Windows recovery rather than assuming the update removed this DLL.
Before using System Restore or another recovery option:
- Back up current documents.
- Note recently installed applications and updates.
- Confirm that the problem affects more than the one legacy program.
- Try repairing the parent application first.
System Restore may help when a recent system change damaged application registration or shared configuration, but it is not a guaranteed way to restore a third-party DLL. If the software is obsolete and cannot run correctly on the current Windows version, remove it, use a supported replacement, or run it in an isolated older Windows environment where appropriate.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Why the error appeared
The likely causes are limited:
- The Samsung or Teleca application was incompletely installed or removed.
- Antivirus software quarantined the DLL.
- The application folder was moved or partially deleted.
- A 32-bit and 64-bit component were mixed.
- A dependency of the DLL is missing.
- The file or installation is corrupted.
- The file was placed in an unexpected directory or altered by malware.
There is no reliable evidence that Windows itself normally supplies anubisutils.dll. It is also not established as a DirectX component, Visual C++ runtime file, .NET file, game component, or device driver.
Avoid these failed repairs
Do not:
- Download an unsigned replacement from a random DLL site.
- Copy the file into both
System32andSysWOW64. - Run
regsvr32merely because the file ends in.dll. - Disable antivirus protection to force a file into place.
- Mix files from different Samsung PC Studio or EasyStudio releases.
- Install unrelated runtimes without an error identifying them.
- Replace the file with a copy from another computer without checking its source and architecture.
regsvr32 applies to self-registering COM or OLE modules that export DllRegisterServer. There is no verified evidence that anubisutils.dll is such a module. Registering it will usually fail or accomplish nothing.

FAQ
Is anubisutils.dll part of Windows?
No. It is identified as the AnubisUtils Module from Teleca Software Solutions AB and is associated with third-party application software.
Which program installed anubisutils.dll?
The strongest association is with legacy Samsung EasyStudio, PC Studio, and PC Sync products that used Teleca mobile-connectivity components. The exact parent program depends on the installer and phone model.
Should I download the DLL separately?
No. A standalone download may contain malware, the wrong architecture, an incompatible version, or no useful dependencies. Restore it through the original application installer or uninstall the obsolete application.
Should I copy it into System32?
No. Keep an application DLL beside the executable that loads it unless the application’s own installer specifies another location.
Is the file 32-bit or 64-bit?
Available public metadata identifies it as a Win32, 32-bit DLL. No reliable evidence confirms a 64-bit build.
Why does Windows say the specified module cannot be found when the file exists?
A dependency of anubisutils.dll may be missing. Repairing or reinstalling the complete parent application is safer than replacing the named file alone.
Does regsvr32 fix this error?
Normally, no. regsvr32 is for self-registering COM/OLE DLLs, and there is no verified evidence that this application module requires registration.
Should I reinstall Visual C++, DirectX, or .NET?
Not as the first repair. Those packages do not replace anubisutils.dll. Use them only when the application or a separate error specifically identifies a missing runtime.
What should I provide when asking for further help?
Include the full error text, the executable name, the DLL’s complete path, your Windows version, the related application name, and whether antivirus recently quarantined or removed a file.
