Apex Legends Season 25: Prodigy launched on May 6, 2025, and ended on August 4, 2025. Its new Legend was Sparrow, a Recon character. GameSpot reported a launch time of 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on May 6; EA’s season history confirms the date but does not list an exact hour. Season 25 is over, so those times are historical rather than an upcoming launch schedule.
When did Apex Legends Season 25 start and end?
EA’s season history lists Season 25, Prodigy, as running from May 6 through August 4, 2025. The season history confirms the calendar start date, but not a launch time.

What was the reported start time?
GameSpot reported that Season 25 would begin at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Treat that as contemporaneous secondary reporting: the EA sources reviewed establish May 6 as the date but do not independently confirm the hour.
Who was the new Legend in Season 25?
Sparrow was the new Legend introduced with Prodigy. EA describes him as Enea Davide Guarino, a member of the Clessidra Rossa bounty-hunting clan. The EA announcement said Sparrow was available to all players from May 6 through May 20, 2025, with unlock challenges divided into two phases during the first four weeks. That was a launch-period offer, not a statement about how players can access him now.

Sparrow’s abilities
EA’s Season 25 patch notes classify Sparrow as Recon and describe his kit as follows:
- Passive — Double Jump: Jump a second time while airborne and get a wall boost while climbing. Sparrow also carries extra arrows, including explosive arrows for the Bocek Compound Bow.
- Tactical — Tracker Dart: Reveal enemies that enter the dart’s line of sight. It can also activate Survey Beacons from a distance.
- Ultimate — Stinger Bolt: Anchor a bolt where it lands; after charging, it shocks, damages, and slows opponents in its area.
What else launched with Prodigy?
The season brought back Arenas, a round-based 3v3 mode. EA’s patch notes also previewed Arenas: Duels, a 1v1 variant planned for midseason. Other launch-period additions included a refreshed Bocek Compound Bow with explosive arrows and a Bot Royale difficulty selector planned shortly after release.
