Does Steam Link work on Apple Vision Pro?
Yes, the App Store listing documents Steam Link for Vision Pro. It streams video and audio from a computer running Steam; the game is hosted on that computer rather than running natively on the headset. Valve describes this host-to-device model in its Steam Remote Play overview.
Requirements
- Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26.0 or later, as specified by the current App Store listing.
- A Windows, Mac, or Linux computer running Steam, with the games you want to play available through that host.
- Both devices on the same local network.
- A controller paired for play.
Set it up
- Install Steam Link on Vision Pro from the App Store.
- Start Steam on the Windows, Mac, or Linux computer that will host the game.
- Connect both the computer and Vision Pro to the same local network.
- Pair a controller, open Steam Link, connect to the Steam-running computer, and launch a game from the host.
Valve recommends connecting the host computer to the router by Ethernet and using the highest-bandwidth Wi-Fi band available to Vision Pro, while staying within reasonable range of the router. These are setup recommendations, not a guarantee of a particular image quality or latency.
Can you play PS5 on Apple Vision Pro?
Direct PS5-to-Vision-Pro streaming is not established by the cited official sources. Sony’s cloud-streaming page covers selected games on PS5 and PlayStation Portal, while Apple’s gaming announcement discusses PC and console access through Steam Link rather than a Sony Remote Play app for Vision Pro. This does not prove that no workaround or third-party client exists. It means the available official documentation does not verify a direct PS5 setup, its required devices, or its limitations, so a claim that PS5 streaming is confirmed on Vision Pro would go beyond the evidence.
Does Xbox Cloud Gaming work on Vision Pro?
Microsoft’s December 19, 2025 getting-started guide documents browser play at xbox.com/play on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, with a compatible device, stable internet, supported browser, and a cloud-supported Game Pass subscription. It does not explicitly list visionOS or Apple Vision Pro. Trying the Xbox website in Vision Pro’s browser may be possible, but the cited guide does not establish that it works or is supported. Device compatibility, subscription terms, and game catalogs can change.

Can you use an Xbox or PlayStation controller with Vision Pro?
Apple lists PlayStation and Xbox controllers among Bluetooth accessories that can be used with Vision Pro, while cautioning that compatibility with third-party accessories is not guaranteed. A controller pairing successfully with the headset does not by itself establish that every game or streaming app supports every button or feature. The key distinction is where the game runs and which app receives the stream. Steam Link is a documented Vision Pro app that receives a stream from a computer on the local network. Xbox Cloud Gaming’s cited instructions describe supported browser platforms but do not validate visionOS. Sony’s cited cloud-streaming page names PS5 and PlayStation Portal, not Vision Pro. These are different paths, not interchangeable proof that every console or cloud service works on the headset.
