How to kill a standard Scout Strider
A Scout Strider is a two-legged Automaton walker armed with twin lasers. On the standard version, the pilot is exposed from the side and rear. That makes a flank the practical target when the Strider is occupied or you can move around it without crossing dangerous open ground.

Flank when the route is safe
- Use cover and watch where the walker is aiming before moving.
- Move around its side or rear rather than advancing directly toward its front.
- Shoot the exposed pilot. Do not keep spending ordinary ammunition on the front plate in hopes of hitting through it.
This method depends on getting a safe angle; do not run through incoming fire just to reach the back.
Use penetration or explosives if you cannot flank
An armor-penetrating support weapon or an explosive can provide another way to deal with a standard Strider when its front is the only angle available. How to fight the reinforced or rocket Scout Strider
Do not rely on the standard variant’s exposed-pilot flank: the reinforced or rocket Scout Strider has an enclosed cockpit. Favor stronger support weapons or Stratagems instead. Small-arms fire can destroy its side missile racks, which may reduce the threat from those weapons even if the walker remains active.
