On Dam Battlegrounds, start by checking the surface at Power Generation Complex, the center of Hydroponic Dome Complex, the hills south of Research & Administration and east of Small Creek, and South Swamp Outpost near its Field Depot. These are reported search areas, not guaranteed spawns: Probe placement varies, and some Probes descend during a raid.
Where do ARC Probes spawn on Dam Battlegrounds?
Use these landmarks as a sweep rather than a fixed route. A Probe may not be at a listed spot in a given raid.

- Research & Administration: Sweep the hills south of the buildings, east of Small Creek.

These locations come from player-guide observations. PC Gamer’s ARC Probe location guide also reports Courier areas around several of the same landmarks.
How can you spot a Probe during a raid?
Probes resemble missiles or missile-like wreckage. Look and listen for thick black smoke and a beeping sound as you approach. A Probe can descend after the raid has begun, so keep watch for smoke and sound instead of relying only on a pre-planned route. Couriers can also emit thick black smoke, so inspect the object before deciding what to search.

Where to find a Courier if there is no Probe
If your objective accepts either target, Couriers are a useful alternative. Reported Dam Battlegrounds search areas include:
- Outside the west wall of Electrical Substation.
- At the road junction between Electrical Substation and Water Treatment.
- South of Research & Administration.
- Around South Swamp Outpost.
- At West Broken Bridge, on the road toward Hydroponic Dome Complex.
PC Gamer describes Courier locations as more set than Probe locations, but these are guide-reported areas, not a guarantee for every raid.
Finding a Probe for A Bad Feeling
Celeste’s quest A Bad Feeling asks you to find and search any ARC Probe or ARC Courier. That means you do not need to wait for a Probe if you find a Courier first. PC Gamer reports the quest reward as 10 Metal Parts, 5 Steel Springs, and 5 Duct Tape; check the current in-game quest for any changes.

Probe locations on other maps
Third-party interactive maps provide Probe marker layers for other locations. Arc Raiders Guide & Wiki listed the following marker counts when accessed on October 4, 2026:

These are counts of markers on the site’s maps, not official spawn totals or a promise that a marker is active in your raid. Use the map’s Probe layer and filters to navigate, then verify the location in-game: Spaceport map, Blue Gate map, and Buried City map.

Understand the breach risk
Breaching a Probe produces loud beeping that can alert nearby ARC. A successfully breached normal Probe opens three loot panels; a crashed Probe can also be breached, but has only one panel. If you are after loot, weigh the extra sections on a normal Probe against the attention the breach may draw.

Choose a trial condition based on target type
The Search ARC Probes, Couriers and Assessors trial rewards searching these objects. Its wiki entry says it is available on all current maps except Stella Montis, and that each Probe section searched scores separately. The entry also describes two conditions with different target patterns:
- Prospecting Probes: Increases the number of descending Probes, creating more opportunities to search multi-section targets.
- Electromagnetic Storm: Has more crashed Probes and Couriers, each with one section. The wiki suggests this can be a fast route to three stars.
The trial page was last edited on August 3, 2026, and Probe mechanics on May 16, 2026. Since events and trial rules can change with patches, check the current in-game trial text and map condition before choosing a run.
