ARC Raiders’ Flickering Flames project is over. It ran from December 16, 2025, through January 13, 2026, and the sources consulted for this guide identify it as retired as of October 4, 2026. It had five stages, each with four turn-ins, and required 260 Candleberries in total. Here are the reported stage requirements and rewards, plus the separate full-completion rewards.
Flickering Flames at a glance
- Event window: December 16, 2025–January 13, 2026, according to the ARC Raiders Wiki. PC Gamer also reported the project’s end announcement on January 13, 2026, quoting community manager Ossen on the official Discord: “This is your last call to complete the Flickering Flames project, and earn the Hi-Tech Hiker outfit and Space Wrench Raider Tool.” Those two items were mentioned in the context of the related event; they are not substitutes for the project rewards listed below.
- Structure: Five sequential stages, with four item turn-ins per stage.
- Candleberries: 260 across all five stages, calculated from the stage quantities reported by Insider Gaming and the wiki.
The item requirements and rewards below are reported by the wiki and Insider Gaming. Stage materials were committed when turned in and could not be retrieved, according to the wiki.

How Candleberries and turn-ins worked during the event
During the original event, Candleberries could be gathered during the Cold Snap map condition. The wiki describes an associated reward track where players earned Merit through experience and project contributions. The ARC Raiders Hub guide also recommended harvesting Candleberry bushes during Cold Snap and progressing the associated Candleberry Banquet activity. These are historical event details, not steps players can rely on while the project is retired.

For players planning their inventory at the time, the practical approach was to keep named turn-in items instead of recycling them and to track Candleberries against each stage’s requirement. Hub’s guide uses some variant item labels, including “Candlesticks” and “Fireball Flamers”; the table uses the names reported by the wiki and Insider Gaming where they agree. In-game localization or naming may vary.
