The best use of Coins in ARC Raiders depends on what your Raider needs next: Apollo sells raid utility, Lance covers survival gear, Tian Wen supports weapon loadouts, and later-game trader Ermal offers expensive long-term unlocks. These are conditional recommendations, not a proven universal ranking. Before spending, compare immediate needs with your level, current stock, and any active Expedition stash-value goal.
First, know what Coins can buy
The trader guide reviewed for this article lists Apollo, Lance, and Tian Wen as Coin-using traders. Celeste takes Assorted Seeds, while Shani takes Creds, so their prices cannot be compared directly with Coin prices. Check each trader’s current stock and prices in-game; inventories and prices may change.

Raider Tokens are another separate currency. Embark says they can be used for Raider Decks, bundles, and cosmetic items; that does not mean ordinary Coins buy those offerings. See Embark’s official ARC Raiders site for the currency distinction.

Use these picks as a needs-based checklist. The reviewed sources do not compare performance across all purchases, player levels, or play styles, so no item here is universally the best.

1. Light sticks for a low-cost utility restock
Apollo’s reviewed listing priced light sticks at 450 Coins. They are a relatively inexpensive example of a quick-use purchase; buy them if they fill a gap in your planned raid kit, rather than assuming every run needs them.
2. Common utility items for a modest spend
Apollo’s listing included several common utility options at 810 Coins. Choose a specific item that suits the route or situation you expect, and check its current price and availability before purchasing.
3. Recorder when you need that utility item
Recorder appears among Apollo’s quick-use and utility stock. The available source does not establish a universal reason to carry one or compare its value with other items, so treat it as a situational buy rather than a default.

4. Zipline for a traversal-focused kit
The reviewed Apollo listing showed a Zipline at 3,000 Coins. Consider it when the traversal utility fits your plan; the price is a guide-listed example, not a guarantee of the live price.
5. Mines for planned area control
Mines are among Apollo’s utility options. Buy them when they suit your intended approach, not simply because they are available. The source set does not establish which mine is best or provide a current comparative value analysis.
6. Grenades for a quick-use slot
Apollo carries grenades, but their costs vary. The reviewed listing showed a Heavy Fuze Grenade at 4,800 Coins and a Trailblazer Grenade at 6,600 Coins. These figures illustrate a range of guide-listed prices; compare the specific item with your needs and verify the live listing.
Rank #3
7. Deadline when its higher cost fits your plan
The same Apollo listing priced Deadline at 18,000 Coins. That makes it a substantially larger commitment than the listed light sticks or common utility options, but price alone does not show that it is a better purchase. Buy it only if its use fits your loadout and you can spare the Coins.

Lance is associated with medical quick-use items. This is a practical category to consider when your current supplies do not support the survivability you want. The reviewed sources do not provide a current, complete comparison of individual medical items, so inspect the available options in-game.
9. Shields from Lance for a defensive need
Lance also covers shields. A shield purchase may make sense when your kit needs that kind of protection, but the source set does not establish a best shield for every player or situation.

- This, the last of The Goddess Collection trilogy, which includes Hyrule Historia and Art & Artifacts, is a treasure trove of explanations and information about every aspect of The Legend of Zelda universe!
- This 336-page book is an exhaustive guide to The Legend of Zelda from the original game through Twilight Princess HD.
10. An augment from Lance for a specific setup
Lance’s stock includes augments. Consider spending here when a particular augment supports the setup you want to use; avoid buying one on the assumption that any augment is a general upgrade.
11. Weapons, ammunition, or modifications from Tian Wen
Tian Wen sells weapons, ammunition, and modifications, making the trader a potential stop when you have a specific loadout or ammo need. The reviewed sources do not identify one weapon or modification as universally best. Buy for the kit you intend to run, and compare the cost with the supplies you already have.
When to save for Ermal instead
A third-party guide reports that Ermal requires level 25 and sells two permanent perks—Stash Expansion and Expedition Vault—for 200,000 Coins each. It also reports that Ermal’s other inventory rotates weekly. Treat these as reported details, not guaranteed live terms: verify access, prices, and stock in-game before saving or buying. Destructoid’s Ermal guide reports the unlock and perk costs.
Best Value
Rotating stock can create an opportunity cost: spending now on raid supplies leaves fewer Coins for a later offer. A named historical rotation is not a current recommendation. The guide’s May 19–25, 2026 listing included a Tempest Blueprint for 1,000,000 Coins and a Mirage Outfit for 500,000 Coins; those dates and prices describe that rotation only. See the dated rotation listing, and check Ermal’s live inventory in-game.

Coins have also counted toward Expedition stash value. In its February 5, 2026 announcement, Embark set a 3 million Coin stash-value threshold for five skill points for that Expedition—equivalent to 600,000 Coins per point if dividing the stated threshold evenly. The announcement also described a catch-up mechanic and cautioned that future requirements and rewards may change. This is dated guidance, not a standing guarantee: check the rules for the active Expedition before deciding whether a purchase is worth delaying. Read Embark’s February 2026 Expedition announcement.
Embark’s February 2026 article also said that cosmetics, Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, leaderboard position, Trials, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens were not affected by that Expedition. Those terms applied to the second Expedition described in the article; consult the active Expedition’s rules for current reset effects. Read the second Expedition details.

- Check your immediate kit. If a needed utility, medical item, weapon, ammo type, or modification is missing, browse the relevant Coin trader: Apollo for utility, Lance for survival categories, or Tian Wen for loadout gear.
- Check access and live prices. Confirm the item is available at the displayed cost. For Ermal, confirm you have the reported level-25 access requirement and verify current perk prices and rotating stock in-game.
- Set aside Coins for a known goal. If you are pursuing an active Expedition stash-value target or waiting for a reported rotating offer, compare that goal with the value of buying supplies now.
- Spend on a specific need, not a supposed tier list. The available evidence describes trader categories and example prices, not measured results proving one purchase is best for every Raider.
How much weight to give trader price patterns
Arc Raiders AI’s August 28, 2026 trader guide observed that 57 of the 64 items listed by Coin traders were priced at exactly 3.00 times the item’s own value, with ammunition noted as an exception. This is the guide’s analysis of listed items, not an official Embark pricing rule or evidence that a purchase is worthwhile. Read the trader guide and its listing analysis.
