Plan for two kinds of danger
Embark identifies both dangerous machines and other Raiders as threats. In practical route planning, an ARC encounter can interrupt movement, while fighting or approaching a valuable location may bring you into contact with other players. That is a risk framing, not a guarantee about enemy spawns or player behavior.
The interactive map applies its own threat labels; they are not an official Embark difficulty scale. For example, it labels Bastion and Bombardier “Critical Threat,” Fireball and Sentinel “High Threat,” and Pop, Snitch, Tick, Turret, and Wasp “Moderate Threat.” Its markers also include types such as Shredder, Hornet, Bison, Vaporizer, Turbine, and Rocketeer.
