ARC Raiders crashes on Xbox Series X|S are a known issue. In its September 22, 2026 Update 1.47.0, Embark Studios said it was deploying multiple stability improvements targeting Xbox crashes and asked players to report problems that continue. The update does not say that every crash is fixed, so the steps below are low-risk diagnostics—not eight confirmed remedies. Read Embark’s Update 1.47.0 notes.
What Embark has confirmed about Xbox crashes
Embark’s September 22, 2026 Update 1.47.0 says: “We are deploying multiple stability improvements targeting Xbox Series X|S crashes. Please report any persistent issues to help guide further fixes.” The same update lists a fix for an Xbox resource-conflict issue, but does not say that it accounts for every crash or that all crashes are resolved. The notes group Series X and Series S together and provide no model-specific crash rate or cause. Embark’s official update

8 safe steps to try when ARC Raiders crashes
These steps are meant to rule out simple, reversible problems and gather useful details. The cited sources do not validate them as specific ARC Raiders crash fixes. Stop if the problem persists rather than assuming one step has solved it.

- Fully quit the game and restart the Xbox. Close ARC Raiders rather than simply returning to the dashboard, restart the console, then launch the game again.
- Check for an ARC Raiders update. Embark says Update 1.47.0 requires a download before players load back in. Confirm the game has finished updating and that the installed version is current. Update 1.47.0 announcement
- Check for an Xbox system update. Use the console’s ordinary system-update controls. No specific Xbox system update is established in the cited sources as a fix for this game’s crashes.
- Power-cycle the console safely. Use the Xbox’s normal restart or shutdown-and-restart procedure. Do not open the console or remove components as part of crash troubleshooting.
- Record when the crash occurs. Note whether it happens on launch, in a menu, during a raid, or after a longer session. This pattern can help Embark investigate, but does not by itself identify a cause.
- After restarting, try another session only if you are comfortable doing so. If a crash recurs, record whether it happened during the same activity. Do not repeatedly risk a loadout on the assumption that a restart fixed the underlying problem.
- Do not apply PC workarounds to Xbox. Windows updates and graphics-driver advice are for PC troubleshooting, not steps for an Xbox Series X|S console. Embark’s update notes
- Report crashes that continue. Include your console model, game version, approximate time and activity, what happened after the crash, and the steps you tried. Embark specifically asks players to report persistent issues. Embark’s request and Embark Studios Game Support
What to include in a crash report
- Whether you use an Xbox Series X or Series S.
- The ARC Raiders version shown on your console.
- When the crash happened and what you were doing immediately beforehand.
- Whether the game returned to the dashboard or the console shut down.
- Whether the crash recurred after a restart, and which troubleshooting steps you already tried.
