ARC Raiders supports crossplay and cross-progression between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store on PC. Crossplay is enabled by default, while cross-save depends on linking every platform to the same Embark ID. Your gear, progress, cosmetics, purchases, and friends can follow that account, but game ownership and some real-money items have platform-specific limits.
Does ARC Raiders have crossplay?
Yes. ARC Raiders supports cross-platform social play between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store PC. Players on these platforms can matchmake together, form parties, and add friends through their Embark IDs. Embark lists cross-platform play as an official feature.
The game requires an Embark ID. That account connects your platform accounts and stores the progression used across supported platforms.
How to turn crossplay on or off
Crossplay is On by default. To change it, open:
Settings > Gameplay > Cross-play
The option appears in the Online section of the Gameplay tab. Depending on the current interface wording, it may be shown as Crossplay rather than Cross-play.

- Off: matchmaking is restricted to players on the same platform.
There is no documented console setting that allows PlayStation and Xbox players to remain together while excluding PC players. On console, disabling crossplay is an all-or-nothing platform restriction.
Cross-platform parties also require crossplay to remain enabled. If you turn it off, friends playing on another platform cannot join your party until you enable it again.
Xbox system setting that can block cross-network play
Even with ARC Raiders crossplay enabled, Xbox privacy settings can prevent cross-network multiplayer. Check this path:

Set You can join cross-network play to Allow. PlayStation uses the in-game crossplay control documented above rather than an equivalent console-wide switch.
Does ARC Raiders have cross-save?
Yes. ARC Raiders supports cross-progression through Embark ID between Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Use the same Embark ID on every platform; progress is not transferred simply because the platforms share the same PlayStation Network, Xbox, Steam, or Epic account.

Embark identifies the following account data as shared through Embark ID:
- Gear
- Gameplay progress
- Cosmetics
- Purchases, subject to platform restrictions
- Friends
If you have played THE FINALS or an ARC Raiders test, Embark says you may already have an Embark ID. Avoid creating a second account before checking which Embark ID contains your existing progress.

During your first launch
When the game presents the account choices:
- Select Link Existing Account.
- Scan the displayed QR code or open the displayed link.
- Choose the platform account that is already connected to your Embark ID.
For example, if your existing progress is on PlayStation and you are adding Steam, sign in through PlayStation first. This identifies the Embark ID that already contains the progression.

Link another platform through the Embark website
- Open Embark’s account-management instructions and sign in using a platform already connected to your Embark ID.
- Select your account name.
- Open Connected Platforms.
- Link the additional Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, or Xbox account.
An Embark ID supports one account per platform: one Steam account, one Epic Games account, one PlayStation account, and one Xbox account, alongside supported Discord and Twitch connections. Confirm that you are linking the intended account before proceeding.

You generally need a separate game license on each platform where you want to play. The documented exception is the Xbox/Microsoft Store version: the Xbox listing identifies ARC Raiders as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing the Xbox purchase to be used through the Xbox app for Windows PC under the applicable Microsoft account. It also lists Xbox cloud saves and Xbox cross-platform multiplayer. The Xbox listing gives the U.S. release date as October 30, 2025, with Standard and Deluxe editions listed at $39.99+ and $59.99+, respectively; prices and availability can vary by region.
Cross-save therefore does not mean “buy once everywhere.” A PlayStation purchase does not automatically provide the PC or Xbox version, and an Embark ID cannot bypass storefront licensing.

Platform-linked purchases
Embark specifically says some real-money content is tied to the platform where it was purchased. This includes pre-order items, the Deluxe Edition, the Bonecrown Set, the Wasp Hunter Set, and Raider Tokens. Such items may disappear from your inventory after unlinking until the original platform account is linked again.
How to add friends on another platform
- From the main screen, select the + icon near the Play button.
- Choose Add Friend.
- Enter the player’s Embark ID, including the four-digit discriminator when one is shown.
Both players need to use their correct Embark IDs, and crossplay must be enabled for cross-platform parties.
Account-linking warnings
Account linking can affect access to progression and purchases, so do not unlink accounts casually.
- If you see “The account you are trying to connect to has content saved from an Embark game and cannot be merged at this time.”, the platform account is already connected to a different Embark ID. It must be unlinked from that account before it can be connected elsewhere.
- The first platform account linked to an Embark ID normally cannot be unlinked. Embark Support may be required.
- Once a platform is linked, only that same platform account can be linked again. Replacing it with a different account can produce “This account cannot be linked. For more information, read this support article.”
- You cannot unlink the platform currently being used to sign in. Sign in through another connected platform first.
- A banned Embark account cannot disconnect its platform accounts.
- Relinking a platform account to a different Embark ID does not move progress, earned rewards, or cosmetics. They remain attached to the original Embark ID.
- Unlinking every third-party game account permanently deletes the Embark ID and its ARC Raiders and THE FINALS progress, purchased items, and earned cosmetics.
If your progress or purchases are missing after changing platforms, first verify that every platform is connected to the original Embark ID. If a platform-linked purchase is absent, reconnect the platform on which it was bought. For account conflicts or irreversible linking problems, use Embark’s account-management support guidance.

ARC Raiders has crossplay across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store PC, and it supports cross-save through one shared Embark ID. Leave crossplay enabled for mixed-platform matchmaking and parties. For cross-progression, link each platform to the same existing Embark ID, and remember that licenses—and some real-money purchases—can remain platform-specific.
