Embark announced a quick hotfix for an ARC Raiders item-duplication bug on February 10, 2026, according to contemporaneous reports. That is the likeliest event behind the headline, but it is not the only duplication-related fix: Embark’s April patch notes and a community transcription of July hotfix notes mention later fixes too. A past fix does not establish whether every exploit variant is resolved today.
What the February hotfix addressed
On February 10, 2026, PC Gamer reported that Embark had released an “additional quick hotfix” to squash an item-duplication bug. The report said the developer warned that players who duplicated excessive amounts of items would be subject to further review. PC Gamer’s report reproduced Embark’s announcement.
GamesRadar placed the response a little over three hours after update 1.15.0 went live. It reported that community lead Ossen said Embark was monitoring for other cases, asked players to report additional duplication problems through the bug-report channel, and said the studio was investigating the issue’s impact before deciding on action. Those timing and communication details come from GamesRadar’s account of official Discord and social posts, not a technical postmortem. GamesRadar’s report
How the reported exploit worked
PC Gamer described a method involving items equipped to quick-use slots: a player held a stack, split it into the second quick-use slot, and could then repeatedly throw or place the item. Its examples included trigger grenades, ziplines, barricades, and event ducks. This is a secondary account of the exploit; the cited coverage does not provide an official explanation of the underlying bug.

Other duplication-related fixes followed
The February incident is only one plausible match for the headline. Later notes also mention duplication issues, but the available descriptions do not prove that the fixes concerned the same exploit or root cause.
| Date | Update | What the notes say | Provenance |
|---|---|---|---|
| February 10, 2026 | Hotfix following update 1.15.0 | Reported as squashing an item-duplication bug; the cited reports do not establish platform scope. | PC Gamer and GamesRadar |
| April 21, 2026 | Patch 1.25.0 | Embark’s notes say a duplication glitch was fixed; they do not identify it as February’s bug. | Embark Help Center |
| July 9, 2026 | Hotfix 1.36.1 | A duplication issue on all platforms was listed. The same transcription mentions an Expedition screen bug that showed Skill Points instead of Mystery Rewards for players on their fourth Expedition. | ARC Raiders Wiki transcription |

What Embark said about enforcement
For February, PC Gamer reported Embark’s warning that players who duplicated excessive quantities could face further review. GamesRadar reported that Embark was assessing impact and severity before taking action. That language does not guarantee a specific ban, warning, or item rollback for any individual account.
The ARC Raiders Wiki’s transcription of July 14 notes for update 1.37.0 describes warnings, removal of coins and items connected to exploit activity, and suspensions in severe cases. It also says players who unknowingly received a few items might receive a warning. Those policy details should be understood as the wiki’s transcription of developer notes, not as a prediction of an individual player’s outcome.

Can players still duplicate items?
The February hotfix and later fixes show that Embark addressed multiple duplication-related issues. They do not establish the current status of every possible method. Embark’s official news listing, viewed October 7, 2026, showed Live Update 1.45.0 dated September 8 and promoted an October 8 update; these later releases confirm ongoing updates, not that every exploit variant is resolved. If you encounter a duplication problem, report it through the official bug-report channel, as Embark’s community lead requested in the February reporting. Avoid deliberately exploiting it: the reported developer statements make clear that excessive duplication and exploit-linked items may be reviewed, while leaving individual consequences dependent on the case.
