Fish for the Magma Leviathan in Volcanic Vents, the first layer of Mariana’s Veil. Its listed preferred bait is Truffle Worm, and its preferred conditions are daytime, foggy weather, and summer—but summer is not required. First, build the Submarine at Roslit Bay and use it to reach the area.
How to reach Volcanic Vents
- Build the Submarine at Roslit Bay.
- Travel through the cave in the middle of the coral reef to reach Mariana’s Veil and its first layer, Volcanic Vents.
- Account for the area’s heat system and lava hazards. The Volcanic Vents page describes the Glimmerfin Suit and Submarine Heat Upgrade as progression rewards for enduring the heat and going deeper; it does not establish them as prerequisites for catching this fish.
These route and hazard details are reported by the unofficial Fisch Wiki’s Volcanic Vents page, updated September 25, 2026.
Best bait, time, weather, and season
The Magma Leviathan page lists Truffle Worm as its preferred bait, with daytime, foggy weather, and summer as preferred conditions. Treat those as preferences, not a guaranteed recipe: the page explicitly says the fish can also be caught in other seasons. If you can choose when to fish, line up the listed conditions; if it is not summer, you can still try.
The page does not establish an alternative bait or a confirmed rod build. It is better to rely on the listed bait and conditions than to assume an unverified setup will improve your odds. These details are community-wiki information, not official developer confirmation or independently tested results.

What to expect in the fight
The Magma Leviathan moves erratically across the fishing bar and applies a listed -100% Progress Speed while you reel it in. That makes the encounter unusually challenging. The source does not give a specific rod, enchantment, or technique that counters the penalty, so no particular build can be recommended on this evidence.
Rarity, size, value, and XP
The fan-made wiki lists the Magma Leviathan as Exotic; it also reports that its rarity changed from Secret to Exotic in version 1.23.0. Its listed base figures are:
