It is a past event, not a current preparation opportunity. This guide records that cycle’s six stages, required contributions, Skill Point thresholds, rewards, and reset rules. Embark later changed the bonus Skill Point challenge for Expedition 3, so Expedition 2’s requirements should not be treated as current rules for another cycle.
Expedition 2 dates and how its stages worked
Embark’s February 5, 2026 announcement set the registration window to begin February 25, with the caravan departing March 1. The project had six stages: the first four required specified items, the fifth accepted contributions from four item categories until each value target was met, and the sixth marked the caravan ready to depart. The resource list below is specific to Expedition 2; community-maintained cycle histories caution that Embark can change quantities between Expeditions.

The historical Provisions target is 180,000 Coins. One secondary guide notes that some earlier lists showed 150,000; it reports the official in-game screen and wiki as showing 180,000 for Expedition 2. Contributions were consumed by the caravan. The coin-value targets for these categories were separate from the stash value used to calculate bonus Skill Points.

How many Coins earned Expedition 2 Skill Points?
Embark reduced the Expedition 2 threshold to 3 million Coins in stash value for all five bonus Skill Points—equivalent to 600,000 Coins per point. The official announcement said, “The reward will still be 5 Skill Points for reaching the 3 million Stash value.” It also set a separate catch-up rate of 300,000 stash value for each missing Skill Point from Expedition 1. Coins counted toward Expedition 2’s points first, then toward missed first-Expedition points. These were design thresholds for this cycle, not player statistics, and Embark said future requirements and rewards could change.

What rewards did the second departure grant?
Permanent benefits
Embark listed another 12 Stash spaces, evolved Patchwork outfit toggles and colors, Scrappy cosmetics, and an upgraded Expedition Indicator icon among the permanent benefits. The announcement described up to five new Skill Points, plus catch-up points for players who had missed points in the first Expedition.
Bonuses for consecutive departures
The listed second-cycle totals were a 10% XP boost, a 12% Scrappy materials boost, and a 70% repair value increase. These benefits stacked with consecutive departures and reset if a player skipped an Expedition.

What progress reset, and what remained?
Expedition was voluntary, but leaving meant resetting substantial character-bound progress. Embark’s Help Center description of the Expedition project lists level, skills, XP, inventory, stash items, and crafting progress among reset fields.
For Expedition 2, Embark specifically said the Trophy Display Project, cosmetics, Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, leaderboard position and Trials, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens were unaffected. Its Help Center carryover table also lists cosmetics and purchased items, Raider Tokens and Cred, Raider Deck progress, Codex entries, unlocked maps, and previous Expedition bonuses as preserved. The official event announcement’s cycle-specific list is the clearest guide to what remained unaffected in Expedition 2.

Why Expedition 2 requirements are not current-cycle advice
Expedition rules are cycle-specific. In its April 17, 2026 post, “A Triumphant Exit,” Embark said Expedition 3 replaced the stash-value Skill Point challenge with a damage challenge. That change means the 3 million Coin threshold and item quantities above describe Expedition 2 only; they do not establish requirements for a later Expedition.

For a later cycle, use that cycle’s official requirements rather than copying Expedition 2’s shopping list. The decision is mainly about whether the permanent account benefits and consecutive-departure buffs are worth the contribution effort and the loss of character-bound progress.
