For a practical raid loadout, prioritize tools that help you escape or reach extraction: Snap Hook, Zipline, Raider Hatch Key, and the newer Powered Descender are the strongest candidates on utility alone. Barricade Kit and Photoelectric Cloak can help you survive, while information and access-control tools are more situational. This is an editorial ranking by likely usefulness—not a tested tier list: available sources do not establish the complete live roster or compare gadget performance.
How this ranking works
ARC Raiders asks you to scavenge and extract while facing both ARC machines and rival Raiders. A gadget earns its slot when it improves survival, mobility or extraction, controls an encounter, or provides enough value often enough to justify carrying a situational tool. The order below is a reasoned evaluation, not a claim about pick rates or measured effectiveness.

The information here is current to October 7, 2026. Beebom’s visible table names several gadgets, but its search listing and opened article do not align, and the article body exposes only a partial list. Treat its item descriptions as leads rather than confirmation of the current roster or values.

1. Snap Hook — high-value mobility
The visible Beebom table describes the Snap Hook as a traversal tool with a stated 20 m range and three uses when fully charged. Those figures are secondary-source values, not independently confirmed for the October 7 build. Its potential to change position quickly makes it one of the most broadly useful options: mobility can help cross danger, reposition during a fight, or disengage when a raid turns bad.

2. Zipline — route creation
Beebom describes the Zipline as a deployable 50 m route that requires line of sight. If those specifications match the live build, its main strength is turning a hazardous crossing into a planned route for a Raider or squad. It is less flexible than a tool that can be used on the move, but can pay off when a team knows where it needs to go.
3. Raider Hatch Key — extraction insurance
The Raider Hatch Key is described as an extraction tool. That makes it valuable when its extraction option fits the raid’s location and plan: extraction is the point at which collected loot becomes a successful run. Its usefulness is necessarily conditional on access and circumstances, so it is not automatically the right choice for every outing.
4. Powered Descender — promising extraction and traversal option
Embark’s April 28, 2026 Riven Tides patch notes list the Powered Descender as an Epic Gadget. The notes establish its category and rarity, but the evidence available here does not establish its exact live behavior or comparative performance. Its placement is therefore provisional: assess it in the live build before choosing it over a familiar traversal or extraction tool.
Rank #2

- Perfect Fan Collection & Gift:Blending highly restored modeling and customizable lighting, it boasts high ornamental and collection value. An ideal gift for game fans and model collectors for birthdays and various festivals.
5. Barricade Kit — useful defensive cover
Beebom describes the Barricade Kit as deployable cover with 500 health that can be picked back up. The health figure is not independently verified as current. Reusable cover could help break line of sight or create breathing room, giving it value in fights and retreats; it is less universally useful than a mobility option because its payoff depends on having time and space to deploy it.
6. Photoelectric Cloak — situational concealment with a higher cost
The cloak conceals its user from ARC, not from other players, according to Beebom’s table. It is not a way to become invisible in a Raider encounter. Embark’s April 28, 2026 patch notes increased its weight from 1 to 3 and power use from 2.5/s to 10/s, explaining that it had been over-performing in duration and that the change was intended to encourage more deliberate use and earlier cover. That documented change makes older advice about sustained cloak use unreliable.
7. Door Blocker — control a specific approach
The Door Blocker is described as limiting access at large metal doors. That can help shape an encounter or buy time when a doorway matters, but it is inherently dependent on the location and situation. Choose it for a plan that benefits from restricting access, not as a default all-purpose survival tool.
Rank #3
- Durable solid 3D printed structure for long-lasting daily use
- Exact in-game Mk.3 loot crate replica for ARC Raiders collectors
- Weighted anti-slip base to avoid sliding and tipping over
- Smooth matte finish prevents scratches on all gamepad surfaces
- Fully pre-assembled compact design, ready for instant desktop display
8. Remote Raider Flare — a coordination or distraction option
Beebom describes this as a remotely detonated distress-flare device. Its value appears to lie in signaling or influencing attention rather than directly improving movement or defense. Since its exact current behavior and effectiveness are not independently established, treat it as a tactical pick for a squad or plan that can make use of the signal.

9. Dockmaster’s Detector — information value not yet established
Embark’s April 2026 patch notes list Dockmaster’s Detector as a Common Gadget. The notes cited here do not establish what it detects or how reliably it changes raid decisions. Its rank is consequently cautious: information tools can be valuable, but the name and rarity alone are not enough to recommend it over a known mobility or survival option.
10. Binoculars — useful awareness, uncertain slot value
Beebom says Binoculars provide two magnification levels and pinging. Scouting and marking can help a team coordinate, but the available evidence does not show whether the information advantage outweighs the cost of the loadout slot in ordinary raids. Consider them when reconnaissance is part of the plan rather than assuming they are essential.

11. Crash Mat and White Flag — listed items, limited basis for ranking
Embark’s Riven Tides notes list an Uncommon Throwable Crash Mat and a Common Deployable White Flag among new items. They are not labeled Gadget in those notes, and the evidence here does not establish their detailed functions or comparative value. Keep them distinct from the confirmed gadget-category entries unless the live game classifies them otherwise.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which gadgets should you bring?
- For a flexible solo raid: Favor a mobility or extraction option whose use you understand, such as Snap Hook, Zipline, or Raider Hatch Key where available. The best choice depends on the route and extraction plan.
- For a squad: Consider a route tool alongside a defensive or information option if teammates can coordinate around it. A Zipline’s described line-of-sight requirement makes placement part of the plan.
- For ARC-heavy routes: Photoelectric Cloak may help against ARC, but it does not conceal you from Raiders; its increased weight and power demand also make casual activation less attractive.
- For a planned hold or retreat: Barricade Kit or Door Blocker can be more useful than a traversal tool when cover or access control is central to the encounter.
- For uncertain situations: Prefer a tool with more than one plausible use over a highly situational device whose current effect you have not confirmed.
What changed, and what is not live yet?
The April 28, 2026 Riven Tides notes document the Photoelectric Cloak balance change and add Powered Descender, Crash Mat, White Flag, and Dockmaster’s Detector. They do not, by themselves, provide comparative performance data for the roster.
Embark’s September 23, 2026 Frozen Trail preview announced four more items for the update scheduled October 8: Grappling Hook, Tether Launcher, Yank Grenade, and Camera. The preview describes the Grappling Hook as a way to climb, abseil, and swing; the Tether Launcher connects two points with a wire to root targets and can attach Raiders to ARC; the Yank Grenade pulls nearby targets, including flying ARC or Raiders in cover; and the Camera offers zoom, aperture, manual or automatic focus, and selfie mode, with photos saved to the Codex. These were announced features, not live, assessed options at the October 7 cutoff, so they are not ranked here.
How to get and equip gadgets
Beebom’s guide says gadgets may be found in caches and lootable areas, crafted at the utility bench when the required materials and blueprint are available, or bought from traders when stocked. It also describes equipping them before going topside and assigning them to quick-use slots. Because that guide’s visible article appears stale, verify the current sources, crafting requirements, trader stock, and interface labels in your live game.
Why this is not a definitive all-gadget tier list
The available evidence does not establish a complete October 7 live roster, and no comparative performance data or pick rates were found. Beebom’s search result claims 25 gadgets and utilities, but the opened article body exposes only a partial table and shows an October 29, 2025 publication date. A definitive ranking of every current item would overstate what is known. The ratings above are an editorial order based on the described roles and the demands of extraction raids; verify item details in game, especially after the October 8 update.
