The Hullcracker Blueprint unlocks the Hullcracker I weapon recipe—not Launcher Ammo. To get it, complete The Major’s Footlocker for Tian Wen, learn the blueprint in Speranza, then craft the launcher at Workshop → Gunsmith once your Gunsmith reaches level 3.
What the Hullcracker Blueprint unlocks
Learning the Hullcracker Blueprint unlocks the recipe for Hullcracker I. It does not unlock Launcher Ammo: that ammunition is currently craftable without a blueprint at Workbench 1.

The blueprint is currently classified as not scavengable. Its listed source is the quest reward from The Major’s Footlocker, and it is not listed as a Trials reward.
How to get the Hullcracker Blueprint
- Complete A Symbol of Unification.
- Speak with Tian Wen to receive The Major’s Footlocker.
- Find Major Aiva’s Mementos in the apartments northwest of The Dam.
- Deliver the mementos to Tian Wen.
- Extract successfully in the same round.
The quest objective is marked “IN ONE ROUND,” so finding the mementos and completing the delivery cannot be split across separate rounds. The reward is 1× Hullcracker Blueprint.

Why the reward may look like ammo
Some versions of the quest reward display launcher-ammo imagery or an ammo-like tooltip. The reward item is nevertheless named Hullcracker Blueprint. Current blueprint data identifies it as the item that unlocks the Hullcracker I recipe.
How to learn the blueprint
- Return to Speranza.
- Open Storage.
- Select the Hullcracker Blueprint.
- Choose Learn and Consume.
Learning consumes the blueprint. A blueprint you have already learned is marked with a ✓ and cannot be consumed again.
Hullcracker I crafting requirements
After learning the blueprint and reaching Gunsmith 3, open Workshop → Gunsmith and select the Hullcracker recipe.

The result is 1× Hullcracker I. The currently maintained recipe lists three Heavy Gun Parts; older or conflicting databases may show five, but that is not the current recipe listed for the weapon.
How to craft Launcher Ammo
Launcher Ammo is a separate Workbench recipe. It requires Workbench 1 and no blueprint.
Open Workshop → Workbench and craft:

Launcher Ammo is used by both the Hullcracker and the Rascal. Each ammo stack holds 24, and the ammo cannot be recycled or salvaged.
Older guides may claim that Launcher Ammo needs the Hullcracker Blueprint or uses 5× Metal Parts + 1× Crude Explosives. Those are outdated instructions. The current recipe is 1× ARC Motion Core + 2× Crude Explosives → 6× Launcher Ammo.
Hullcracker weapon behavior
The Hullcracker is a pump-action special grenade launcher with a five-round magazine. Its explosive projectiles detonate only when they hit ARC targets, making it an anti-ARC weapon rather than a general-purpose explosive launcher. It also has Very Strong ARC Armor Penetration.
Hullcracker upgrades
Once you have Hullcracker I, the upgrade path uses Gunsmith 1 and the following materials:

Each upgrade requires Gunsmith 1; the Gunsmith 3 requirement applies to unlocking and crafting the base Hullcracker I recipe.

Hullcracker blueprint troubleshooting
The blueprint was consumed, but the weapon recipe is missing
Learning the blueprint alone does not make the recipe visible before the required bench level. Upgrade the Gunsmith to level 3, then check Workshop → Gunsmith again.
The quest reward appears to be ammo
Check the item name rather than relying on the thumbnail. The correct reward is Hullcracker Blueprint. After returning to Speranza, it should be available in Storage and offer Learn and Consume.
The quest did not complete after finding the mementos
Make sure the entire objective was completed in one round. The Major’s Footlocker is explicitly marked IN ONE ROUND; finding the mementos in one round and attempting delivery in another does not satisfy that constraint.

The blueprint only unlocks the recipe. You still need 1 Magnetic Accelerator, 3 Heavy Gun Parts, and 1 Exodus Modules, plus Gunsmith 3, to craft Hullcracker I.
