A November 27, 2025 report described an ARC Raiders locked-door exploit, but Embark’s Update 1.4.0 notes from that same day say mitigation had been added across all maps. Whether the exploit returned after that mitigation is not established by the available reports, so the claim that it “persists” should be treated as historical—not as confirmed current status.
What the locked-door glitch reportedly let players do
TechJuice reported that players could push a teammate into a locked door until the character phased through it, then open the door from the inside. That would bypass the key requirement for the room. The report also said legitimate key holders could arrive to find the loot already taken. Those mechanics and effects are claims in the article, not independently measured findings about how often the exploit occurred or its impact on the game economy. Read the November 27, 2025 report.
The issue was a reported in-game bypass of locked rooms—not a physical lock or hardware defect. Community discussion dated November 18, 2025 includes players describing attempts to “glitch through doors” and expressing frustration. Those posts document individual player reports, not how widespread the behavior was. See the November 18 discussion.
What Embark’s November 27, 2025 update notes said
The Update 1.4.0 notes, reproduced in a Reddit post dated November 27, stated: “Exploit mitigation mechanisms have been added for all locked rooms across all maps.” The same notes said a hotfix for locked-room exploits was rolling out. Read the reproduced Update 1.4.0 notes.

This creates a same-day conflict with TechJuice’s statement that Embark had not officially addressed the specific bug and that it remained unpatched “as of today, November 27, 2025.” The update-note wording documents a mitigation and hotfix, but the available material does not clarify the timing behind the two accounts or establish how effective the mitigation was.
Is the glitch still happening?
The available sources do not confirm that the exploit recurred after the November 2025 mitigation. Material from the ARC Raiders Steam community page includes a September 30, 2026 anti-cheat post and an October 8 update announcement, but neither establishes the status of this specific locked-door issue. For current play advice, check the game’s present behavior and newer developer patch notes. These sources do not support instructions for exploiting locked doors or a claim that the bypass remains usable.
