As of October 8, 2026, Embark is advertising a separate free-play period for October 8–12, 2026; that is not a return of the Server Slam.
Can you still play the ARC Raiders Server Slam?
No. The Server Slam was a limited-time playtest that ended October 19, 2025. Embark announced it on October 17, the first day of the event, and said the full game was planned to launch October 30, 2025. Those dates are historical, not an upcoming schedule. Embark’s event announcement is the official reference for the original test.
How access worked during the event
While the Server Slam was live, the steps were straightforward:
- Choose Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S.
- Download ARC Raiders on that platform when the event began.
- Sign in with an Embark ID to play.
Embark said no separate sign-up or access code was required. Instructions elsewhere telling players to preregister or obtain a code do not match the event announcement. The playtest has concluded, so these steps do not provide access to the 2025 event today. See Embark’s Server Slam announcement.

What accounts and requirements did the game need?
An Embark ID was required to play. Embark says it connects progress, purchases, and friends across platforms; cross-progression is supported between Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and players can play with friends across platforms. Embark’s Help Center explains the Embark ID.
The current official game page also lists an internet connection, an Embark ID user account marked 13+, a third-party platform account, and acceptance of Embark’s terms and end-user license agreement as requirements. Age restrictions apply. Check the official ARC Raiders page for current requirements.
What the Server Slam included
The event was a focused preview of Dam Battlegrounds and initial player progression, not the complete game. Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal said most content and features were being held for launch. Embark also mentioned possible special conditions—including Electromagnetic Storms and Night Raids—and a possible Queen encounter; these were possibilities, not guarantees for every session.
The test’s operational purpose was to stress-test backend and matchmaking stability before launch while giving people who had not tried the game an opportunity to experience it. Grøndal wrote: “We need to rigorously stress-test our backend and matchmaking systems to ensure everything is performing exactly as expected when the game goes live.” The statement appears in Embark’s October 17, 2025 announcement.
Is there another way to play ARC Raiders now?
As of October 8, 2026, the official ARC Raiders homepage advertises a separate free-play period running October 8–12, 2026. It is a distinct promotion, not a revival or extension of the 2025 Server Slam. The homepage does not state exact start or end hours, so check the official page for the offer’s current details rather than assuming a time. Visit the official ARC Raiders homepage.
The homepage links to Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and GeForce NOW, and describes cross-platform social play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Availability and requirements may vary by platform; consult the relevant storefront and official game page.
