ARC Raiders’ Shrouded Sky update, version 1.17.0, went live on February 24, 2026. It added the dangerous Hurricane map condition, Shani’s Weather Monitoring System project, the Firefly and Comet ARC enemies, and the free Surgeon Raider Deck. Dam Battlegrounds also gained the Controlled Access Zone, alongside facial-hair customization and other changes.
When did Shrouded Sky arrive?
Embark announced Shrouded Sky on February 23, 2026, and said it would go live the following day. The official version 1.17.0 patch notes are dated February 24, 2026. The announcement and notes describe what launched with the update; later patches may have changed live-game behavior.

What does the Hurricane map condition do?
The Hurricane makes surface runs more hazardous through strong wind, airborne debris, and poor visibility. Wind batters Raiders, while debris strikes shields and degrades their protection. Reduced visibility can make it harder to keep your bearings, and combat becomes more difficult when you cannot see clearly.

The risk comes with a potential reward: First Wave Raider Caches are unearthed across the surface. Embark’s announcement and patch notes do not specify exact wind or shield-damage values, a rotation schedule, or guaranteed safe routes, so treat the condition as a changing environmental threat rather than relying on a fixed route or precise damage assumptions.
Which new ARC enemies were added?
Firefly
The Firefly is an armored flying machine that emits a jet of flame. Embark’s announcement advises moving quickly or finding cover when threatened. The official description does not establish specific weaknesses, loot, or precise combat tactics.

Comet
The Comet is a spherical ARC machine that patrols until it detects a Raider. It then locks on and explodes with a seismic boom. The announcement describes this threat but does not provide verified details about its weaknesses or rewards.
How does the Weather Monitoring System project work?
Shani’s Weather Monitoring System is a seasonal player project. Raiders collect specified materials topside and contribute them toward building features of the system; Embark says contributions earn rewards. The announcement does not enumerate every stage or material requirement, so consult the current in-game project for its live objectives rather than relying on an incomplete item list.

What is the free Surgeon Raider Deck?
The Surgeon Raider Deck is available with the update. It offers rewards earned with Cred, which Embark says players gain topside by completing Feats. Cosmetics unlock progressively as players complete the deck. Embark also highlighted two Feat changes at launch: Feats could be rerolled three times per day for free, and PvP Feats were removed.

- Full Beard: unlockable through the Surgeon Raider Deck.
What changed on Dam Battlegrounds?
Dam Battlegrounds gained the Controlled Access Zone, a high-security location described as a high-value loot area. Embark identified a Rocketeer chandelier as a visual cue for the location. The patch notes also listed an Expedition Window, a new interactable piano, and a Field craft Shaker instrument.

What launch issues did Embark list?
The launch notes listed two known issues: an interaction could occasionally become unusable on one new ARC when it was destroyed, and a flying ARC could become stuck in idle. These were launch-era notes, not confirmation that either issue remains in the current game.
