The Tempest Blueprint currently comes from First Wave Caches during Hurricane or from eligible containers during Night Raid. Hurricane is the fastest documented farming method; if it is unavailable, run Night Raid on Buried City and search dense residential and commercial areas. The blueprint is Legendary, sells for 5,000 coins, and must be extracted before you can learn it.
Where the Tempest Blueprint drops
Current blueprint data lists two conditions and two source categories:

- Hurricane: First Wave Caches.
- Night Raid: Residential Containers, including the broader set of household and commercial-style containers used by current farming guides.
It has no quest reward listed, and it is available through Trials. The Tempest is an exception to the usual weapon-blueprint advice: it is not restricted to Raider Containers or Weapon Cases. The current listings specifically associate it with Residential Containers and, during Hurricane, First Wave Caches. See the current blueprint table for the source listing.
The Tempest is documented for Night Raid and Hurricane. Do not rely on older guides that recommend Day Raids or Electromagnetic Storms for this blueprint.

Fastest method: farm Hurricane First Wave Caches
When Hurricane is active, it is the best current farming route. Hurricane rotates among Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, The Blue Gate, and The Spaceport on an hourly cycle according to the current farming guide.
- Enter Hurricane with a minimal or empty loadout.
- Listen for the distinct electric humming sound that identifies First Wave Caches.
- Loot as many First Wave Caches as you can find.
- Move any Tempest Blueprint into your Safe Pocket immediately.
- Surrender after securing the blueprint, then requeue for another run.
This is a rapid-search strategy rather than a conventional extraction run. The objective is to check caches quickly and protect the blueprint, not to fill your inventory with unrelated loot.

Manage expectations about the drop rate. Patch 1.18.0, released on March 3, 2026, reduced blueprint rates in First Wave Caches. Hurricane remains the fastest documented Tempest source, but the unusually favorable rates reported during the first weeks after the Shrouded Sky update should not be treated as current. No authoritative current source verifies an exact Tempest percentage or a guaranteed number of caches per run.
Fallback method: Night Raid on Buried City
If Hurricane is not available, the primary fallback is a Night Raid on Buried City. The map is recommended because it has a high concentration of blueprint-capable residential and commercial containers.

Prioritize these high-density areas:
- Grandioso Apartments
- Space Travel Building
These are efficient search locations, not guaranteed Tempest spawns. The blueprint is still an RNG loot-table roll, so finding no blueprint in either building is normal.
Search the following containers rather than looking for one special Tempest container:

- Wardrobes
- Cupboards and kitchen cabinets
- Desk drawers
- Lockers
- Suitcases
- Coolers
- Trash cans
The current Tempest guide also lists Stella Montis — Lobby & Security Wing as a Night Raid location, with no-loadout runs focused on suitcases and trash cans. Buried City remains the primary recommendation, but it is not the only documented Night Raid location.
When to abandon a Night Raid
A late-started raid is usually a poor Tempest farming run. Nearby high-density areas may already have been looted before you arrived. If your route is empty, surrender and requeue instead of spending the rest of the raid searching containers that have already been cleared.

Likewise, do not treat Grandioso Apartments, the Space Travel Building, or any individual floor or container as guaranteed. Community route names identify concentration and efficiency, not fixed blueprint spawns.

Finding the item is only half the process:
- Place the blueprint in your Safe Pocket as soon as you obtain it.
- Extract successfully. Dying while carrying the blueprint outside the Safe Pocket loses it.
- In Speranza, select the Tempest Blueprint.
- Choose Learn and Consume. The blueprint is consumed and becomes permanently available.
A blueprint you have already learned displays a ✓ and cannot be consumed again. After learning Tempest, repeated crafting requires the listed progression threshold of Gunsmith Level 3.
Common Tempest-farming mistakes

There is no official in-game marketplace, auction house, or player-to-player blueprint trading system. Informal item drops in a raid are risky and are not an official trading feature.
