Where does the Tempest blueprint drop?
The current community listing places the Tempest blueprint in Night Raid or Hurricane: it may come from any container or a First Wave Cache. This is a community-maintained drop listing, not an official confirmation of a fixed spawn or guaranteed drop. PandaPlay’s blueprint guide, updated September 16, 2026, is the newer source for these conditions.

Embark’s official Patch Notes 1.18.0, published March 3, 2026, confirm that First Wave Caches on Hurricane remain a source of blueprints. The patch lowered rare blueprint drop rates slightly, however, so the official note supports caches as a general source—not a Tempest-specific drop rate or guarantee.

Hurricane: prioritize First Wave Caches
If Hurricane is active, make First Wave Caches your first target. The official patch note lowered the rare blueprint rate slightly while raising the high-tier material rate, and the accompanying developer note says caches remain a solid way to find blueprints. It also cautions against expecting the former pattern of reliably leaving every session with three to five blueprints. PandaPlay’s September 2026 listing specifically names First Wave Caches as a possible Tempest source, but neither source promises a Tempest drop.

Night Raid: search dense container routes
If Hurricane is not available, PandaPlay recommends Night Raid container searches. Its suggested Buried City stops include Plaza Rosa Pharmacy, Hospital, Santa Maria Houses, Grandioso Apartments, Town Hall, and the Space Travel building. Treat these as route suggestions for finding more containers, not confirmed Tempest spawn points.
The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Tempest item page, whose data was verified on December 7, 2025, also lists Buried City containers and residential containers in Stella Montis Lobby and Security Wing. It suggests residential areas, with suitcases and trash cans noted for Stella Montis. Because that listing is older than PandaPlay’s, use it as supporting community guidance rather than a more current condition listing.

How to make farming attempts more useful
- Choose Hurricane when it is available and spend the run checking First Wave Caches.
- For a Night Raid, favor routes with many containers over repeatedly visiting one supposed exact spawn.
- Open each suitable container you reach: each is another loot roll, not a guaranteed blueprint.
- Do not plan around a precise Tempest percentage. No reliable official Tempest-specific drop rate has been published in the cited sources.
Embark’s developer note on the March 2026 change describes the intent plainly: “Caches will still be a solid way to find blueprints, just not to the point where you can reliably walk away from every session with 3–5 of them.” Older launch-period claims of unusually generous cache hauls should not be treated as current expectations.

Could research replace blueprint farming?
GamesRadar+ reported that Embark planned to introduce a research system with the Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal described collecting research points from items found in the world and choosing some research, including some blueprints. The report did not establish how many blueprints would be included or confirm that Tempest would be one of them. Check the live game after the update before relying on research as a way to unlock Tempest. GamesRadar+ report.
