When does the ARC Raiders PvE test start and end?
Embark’s test notice, dated October 12, 2026, sets the window from October 13, 2026, at 11:00 CEST to October 20, 2026, at 11:00 CEST. Update 2.1.0, announced October 13, introduces the toggle beta test. Embark plans to collect data from both PvE and standard PvPvE sessions, then send players a survey after the test for more detailed feedback.

The developer says: “Your feedback, along with the in-game data, will help us decide if the toggle becomes a permanent part of the game.” That means the test does not guarantee that PvE matchmaking will remain available after October 20.

The toggle lets players choose between standard PvPvE matchmaking and PvE servers. PvE removes player-to-player damage, but it does not remove every interaction with other players or make the experience identical to a dedicated single-player mode.

One PvE-specific danger remains: ARC enemies can reacquire downed players after an eight-second grace period if they catch them moving. The test removes damage from other players, not the threat posed by ARC enemies.
What changed in Update 2.1.0?
The official patch notes cover fixes across animation, audio, ARC behavior, gameplay, items, maps, quests, performance, UI, cosmetics, and weapons. These examples show the practical scope; they are not the complete changelog.
Animation and audio
- Character models that appeared enlarged were corrected.
- Vaulting on the remains of the Matriarch, Vaporizer, Hydra, and Firefly was stabilized.
- Outdoor footsteps that were too loud were reduced.
- Melee hits on weak points now have clearer audio feedback.
Gameplay, items, and traversal
- Fixes address skill activation and inventory weight calculations.
- Stamina-restoring consumables received a fix for their interaction with Sprinting on Fumes.
- Grappling Hook traversal and durability behavior were improved.
Maps and performance
- Map changes include collision and traversal adjustments, lighting and reflection improvements, and terrain fixes on Pendola Pass.
- Memory use was reduced on Spaceport, Buried City, and Dam Battlegrounds to improve stability, with particular benefits for Xbox Series S.
The notes also include additional changes to ARC behavior, quests, cosmetics, the UI, the Reward Pass, Outpost, the skill tree, and weapons. The official update page contains the full list of individual fixes.

Update 2.1.0 confirms that the Carrion Set is available in the in-game store. The announcement does not specify its price, what cosmetics it includes, or whether availability differs by platform, so those details cannot be confirmed from the patch notes.
