Nintendo’s U.S. page offers a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle through a “Buy now” link, while the separate Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition has had retailer-specific preorder availability. Stock depends on the edition, country, retailer, and time you check.
Where to check for a Nintendo Switch 2
Start with Nintendo’s U.S. retail offers page and Switch 2 product page, then follow the link for the exact bundle you want. Nintendo lists the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle at $549.99 and marks it “Buy now.” That is a purchase path through participating retailers, not a guarantee that every retailer has stock.

Nintendo also lists a Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle for October 22, 2026, at $529.99, with a “Pre-purchase now” link. The page says availability is subject to supplies and directs shoppers to retailers for details. Confirm the retailer’s listing and checkout status before relying on the offer.
Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition: a separate preorder
The Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition offer, not the same product as the standard console or Nintendo’s game bundles. Tom’s Guide’s stock report said Walmart was accepting preorders when it checked; it reported Best Buy, Target, and Nintendo.com sold out, while Amazon had a listing but had not yet opened preorders. Those are retailer- and time-specific statuses, not a current universal inventory check. See Tom’s Guide’s Zelda edition report and check each store directly for the latest status.

Retailer listings are not live stock information
Nintendo Support lists Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, GameStop, Target, Walmart, and other merchants that carry Nintendo products, including Switch 2. Use its retailer directory to find sellers, but it does not report which ones have inventory now. A product listing, an open preorder, a purchase button, and stock at a specific store are different things.
For store pickup, select the location you would actually visit and check its local inventory status. A national product page or a retailer’s general listing may not reflect stock at that store.

Availability varies by country
U.S. retailer reports cannot establish availability elsewhere. GamesRadar’s Australia guide described the standard Switch 2 as generally available through several local retailers, while noting fluctuating Amazon stock and store-level variation. Its Australian availability guide is a regional snapshot, not a worldwide inventory feed.

Nintendo reported cumulative worldwide Switch 2 hardware sales of 23.68 million units as of June 30, 2026. That figure describes units sold by that date; it does not show how many consoles are available to buy now. See Nintendo’s hardware sales data.

How to check before you order
- Choose the exact edition. Confirm whether you want the standard console, a bundle, or the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition.
- Check your country’s Nintendo page. Follow the offer or retailer links for your region; the U.S. offers page does not describe every market.
- Open the retailer’s product page. Look for a live purchase or preorder option, and confirm the seller and delivery or pickup details.
- Verify local pickup separately. Select your store location rather than assuming a national listing means that branch has stock.
- Recheck at checkout. Inventory can change between viewing a listing and placing an order.
