No official Nintendo Mario game was released for Sony’s PSP. Nintendo’s official Super Mario history lists games across Nintendo systems, but no PSP release. Unofficial projects or emulation are a separate matter and do not make a game an official PSP release.
Why there is no official Mario game for PSP
Nintendo’s franchise timeline places Mario releases on Nintendo platforms, including Game Boy, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Nintendo Switch. It does not list the Sony PSP or a Mario release for that system. A separate CyberPost explainer likewise says Nintendo did not release an officially licensed Super Mario game for PSP.

The answer is about official Nintendo releases. It does not establish whether particular fan projects, homebrew software or emulator setups exist, nor their technical or legal status. Those should not be confused with a Nintendo-licensed PSP game.
Want to play an official Mario game?
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is listed by Nintendo as a 2023 release for Nintendo Switch. It is an official Mario option on Nintendo hardware, but it does not run on PSP.

#1 Best Overall
- A variety of playable characters are available, some with unique attributes that affect gameplay and platforming physics.
- Younger and less-experienced players will love playing as Toadette, who is brand new to both games, and Nabbit, who was formerly only playable in New Super Luigi U. Both characters offer extra assistance during play.
- Multiplayer sessions are even more fun, frantic, and exciting thanks to entertaining character interactions. Need a boost? Try jumping off a teammate’s head or getting a teammate to throw you.
- Features a wealth of help features, like a Hints gallery, reference videos, and a Super Guide in New Super Mario Bros. U that can complete levels for you if they’re giving you trouble.
- Three additional modes—Boost Rush, Challenges, and Coin Battle—mix up gameplay and add replayability, while also upping the difficulty for players who want to try something harder. Players can use their Mii characters in these modes.
If PSP compatibility is essential, there is no official Mario title to choose from. If the priority is playing an official Mario game rather than using a PSP, consider a Nintendo platform and a title released for it.
