They do describe two Moxxi features with different purposes: Moxxi’s Big Encore lets you replay bosses, while Moxxi’s Tip Jar is associated with a loot pool. Neither should be treated as a conventional slot machine with known reels, odds, or payouts.
Are there slot machines in Borderlands 4?
Borderlands Support’s reviewed notes name Moxxi’s Big Encore and Moxxi’s Tip Jar, but do not establish conventional reel-based slots in Borderlands 4. That means older games’ slot symbols, costs, odds, and rewards should not be assumed to apply here. The available sources also do not establish exact current costs or probabilities for either feature.

How does Moxxi’s Big Encore work?
Big Encore is a boss-replay feature, not a reels-and-payouts machine. A PlayBorderlands farming guide describes using its terminal at a boss arena after defeating that boss once, then repeating the encounter to collect more loot.
- Defeat the boss for the first time.
- At the boss arena, activate the Moxxi’s Big Encore terminal. The guide says the terminal charges a cost that scales with player level, but gives no formula or dependable current price.
- Fight the boss again and collect its drops.
- Sell unwanted gear or restock where useful, then use the terminal to repeat the run.
This is secondary-source guidance for a farming loop; it does not establish a complete unlock guide, a fixed charge, or a drop rate.

Borderlands Support describes a rotating Weekly Big Encore Boss as a tougher version of an existing boss with a more rewarding loot pool. The named bosses in dated notes are examples of past rotations, not a reliable indication of what is active now:

What does Moxxi’s Tip Jar drop?
The Tip Jar is separate from Big Encore’s boss-replay loop. Borderlands Support’s February 19, 2026 notes say that Phosphenes drops for Cold Shoulder and Sweet Embrace were added to the Tip Jar loot pool. The notes explain that the addition made a Phosphene challenge possible to complete.
That is a dated addition, not a complete list of Tip Jar rewards or proof of its exact current pool. The reviewed sources do not establish its full present-day contents, odds, or a repeatable boss-farming method.
