Multiple third-party guides identify this quest as the access condition; repeatedly interacting with the gate or trying to force it open is not the solution. Reach the Ferrium bed through the overhead corridors
After finishing the quest, return to Bridge Approach Camp and take the overhead corridor route toward the bed. The locked door is described as a progression gate, rather than a mechanism with a separate switch or puzzle. The destination is sometimes indexed as “Ferrium Bed 11” in guides; that is a guide’s numbering, not an established in-game name. The bed is reported to have five mining nodes.

Once you can reach the bed, mining rigs need power to operate. GamesFuze describes a relay-tower-and-pylon route for carrying power from Bridge Approach Camp toward the mineral bed. Its placement directions are a single guide’s account, not an independently confirmed or authoritative wiring procedure, so use them as a route to check against what the live game allows.
- Begin placing relay towers between Bridge Approach Camp and United Parking Lot, before the ramps.
- Continue placing towers along the route, respecting the reported 80-meter placement limit.
- Carry the connection up through the ramps and onto the broken overpass toward the bed, using pylons as described by the guide.

GameWith identifies the Electric Mining Rig Mk II for automatic Ferrium mining generally. Its guide does not establish a special rig requirement for this particular bed, so check the current in-game mining menu before assuming a bed-specific rig is required.
