To start it, complete Exploration Mission – Outpost: Reconstruction HQ I, read Angro’s message, and speak with him at the Originium Power Plant. The route then leads through an investigation, a missing-box search at Bridge Approach Camp, a fight at the Transfer Station, and a later follow-up after a reported 24-hour wait.
Unlock and start Insider Threat
- Complete Exploration Mission – Outpost: Reconstruction HQ I. The walkthrough reports that Insider Threat unlocks afterward and Angro sends a message. PowerPyx’s 2026 walkthrough provides the route details.
- Read Angro’s message, travel to the Originium Power Plant in the Power Plateau, and speak with Angro to begin the mission.
Investigate Dmitry, Yulia, and Georgi
- Fast travel to Plateau Trunkway and head south to Dmitry. Follow him to the alternate conversation location.
- Go east to the small power area and activate or repair the terminal to restore its data.
- Return to the Plateau Trunkway TP Link for the scene with Yulia and Dmitry.
- Head northwest to Georgi, near the factory east of the Old Dorms. Follow him to the boxes and use the scanner to reveal footprints.
- Follow the footprints back toward the entrance and interact with the nearby terminal. Activate it and solve its puzzle to continue.
Find the missing boxes at Bridge Approach Camp
From Georgi’s area, go southwest across the bridge to Bridge Approach Camp. Follow the yellow streak to the shack at its end, then use the scanner inside to reveal the missing boxes. Return to Georgi near the Old Dorms.
If the search does not advance, check that you are scanning inside the shack rather than only along the yellow streak, then confirm the updated objective in the quest log. The shack interior is where the walkthrough places the boxes.
Investigate Artyom at the Transfer Station
- Go southwest toward the garage and Transfer Station.
- In the station’s western section, defeat the two Landbreakers attacking Artyom.
- Speak with Artyom just west of the wall.
- Enter the Power Plant and follow the interior route past the conveyor belts, then go up to the control room to speak with Angro and Shawna.
What to do when the objective says “wait for further notice”
PowerPyx reports that this stage requires a full 24 hours, while All Things How describes it as a one-day real-world gate. Neither source establishes an official, current-build rule, so treat the duration as guide-reported behavior rather than a guaranteed timer. After the reported wait, return to the game and check the quest log for the next objective or message.
Complete the follow-up investigation and combat
- After the follow-up message, meet Angro at the monitoring room.
- Repair or emulate the nearby terminal as directed by the objective.
- Go to the negotiation site at the Old Dorms and defeat the two Tunneling Nidwyrms.
- Return to the monitoring room and speak with Angro.
- Read Shawna’s message, then meet her north/east of the Power Plant area.
Insider Threat rewards
PowerPyx’s 2026 reward summary lists the following in-game rewards. Its initial summary gives 6,950 T-Creds; a repeated line later in that guide appears to contain an extra zero, so the table uses the initial value, which also matches the Game8 result.
