Steam and mobile can use the same Arknights: Endfield account data if you link Steam to your existing Gryphline Account and choose the server where your character is saved. Your progress will not transfer between the Asia and Americas / Europe servers. The practical difference is how you play: Steam offers keyboard and mouse plus PC graphics options, while mobile offers touch controls and a supported controller mode. Official sources do not provide comparable Steam-versus-mobile performance benchmarks, so there is no evidence-based universal FPS or battery-life winner.

Steam vs. mobile at a glance

What matters Steam on PC Mobile
Account progress Can use the same Gryphline Account data as other platforms when linked to that account and the character’s server. Can use the same account data when logged into the same Gryphline Account and server.
Default input choices Keyboard and mouse; supported controllers are also available. Touch controls; supported controllers are also available.
Documented performance features PC settings include a 120 FPS option, and supported hardware can use DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation. An official Pioneer Test notice also lists PC requirements. Performance and available features depend on the device. No official cross-platform FPS, battery, thermal, or loading-time comparison is published in the sources cited here.
Portability Requires access to a PC that meets the applicable requirements. Lets you play on a supported phone or tablet, with touch or controller input.

The PC requirements below come from Gryphline’s September 15, 2026 Steam Pioneer Test notice, which describes a limited-access playtest. They are not a guarantee of performance or necessarily the latest general-release requirements. Likewise, a listed graphics option is a feature, not a cross-platform benchmark.

Does progress carry between Steam and mobile?

Yes, provided you link Steam to the Gryphline Account that holds your character and select the same server. The official Arknights: Endfield Steam Pioneer Test FAQ, published September 15, 2026, says: “The Steam version uses the same game servers and account data as the other platforms.” That applies to account data on the same server; it does not merge progress across server regions.

Link Steam to an existing account

  1. When you first log in on Steam, link your Steam account to a Gryphline Account.
  2. If you already have a character, sign in with the Gryphline Account that contains it and link that account rather than creating or linking a different one.
  3. Choose the server where your existing character is saved. Account data on Asia is separate from data on Americas / Europe, even under the same account.

If your Gryphline Account uses a third-party login, the Steam notice says to make sure an email address is linked to it, then use that email when linking Steam. If no email is attached, sign in to the account center through the original third-party login and attach an unused email before completing the Steam link. A Gryphline Account registered through Steam can also be used on other supported platforms with its registration email. See the official Steam Pioneer Test FAQ for its account-linking instructions.

How do controls differ?

Keyboard and mouse on Steam

Steam on PC supports keyboard input, including text entry through a keyboard. Players who prefer a controller can use one of the officially listed supported models.

Touch and controller input on mobile

Mobile supports touch controls, and the official controller FAQ documents controller mode on mobile as well as PC. The game’s January 20, 2026 controller FAQ lists PlayStation DualSense, DualSense Edge and DUALSHOCK 4, plus Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. Wired USB and Bluetooth connections are documented where the device supports them. Third-party controllers may have compatibility issues.

For example, an Xbox Wireless Controller is an optional choice if you would rather use physical controls; it is explicitly listed for both PC and mobile. That support does not imply every feature works identically on each platform.

Switching input modes and controller feature limits

At login, controller input automatically changes the interface to the controller layout. During most gameplay, pressing a controller button prompts a switch to controller input; keyboard input or tapping the screen can prompt a switch back. Switching is unavailable in certain contexts, including operator selection or naming, tutorials, character dialogue or story cutscenes, and some battle scenes or simulations. Text entry uses a keyboard on PC and the system on-screen keyboard on mobile and PlayStation.

Controller features depend on the controller and connection. The FAQ recommends a wired connection for full DualSense, DualSense Edge and DUALSHOCK 4 functionality when playing off PS5. Over Bluetooth off PS5, those controllers support adaptive triggers but not vibration or the controller speaker. Official Xbox controllers support full functionality on PC over Bluetooth or wire; on mobile over Bluetooth, vibration and impulse triggers are not supported. Vibration and adaptive triggers can be toggled at Settings → Controls.

What PC performance options and requirements are documented?

Steam Pioneer Test PC requirements

Gryphline’s September 15, 2026 Steam Pioneer Test notice published the following PC specifications. Because the notice concerns a limited-access test, check current official requirements for the version you intend to install.

Rank #3
Category Minimum Recommended
Processor Intel Core i5-9400F or equivalent Intel Core i7-10700K or equivalent
Memory 16 GB RAM 16 GB RAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent
Operating system and graphics API Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit; DirectX 11.1 or later
Storage At least 50 GB free, plus another 40 GB to extract files; SSD installation recommended

These specifications do not promise a particular frame rate. The official January 17, 2026 release-preview communication says the PC version adds a 120 FPS option. It also describes NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation for supported hardware. Those are configuration and hardware-dependent features, not evidence that every PC—or Steam compared with mobile—will sustain 120 FPS.

Mobile and device-dependent features

The same release-preview communication describes ray tracing in specific scenes on certain iOS devices and a platform-dependent Device Load or Estimated GPU Memory Usage preview in Settings. It also notes mobile improvements to top-view operation, AIC factory belt construction and bulk pipe operations. These details describe available features and interface changes; they do not establish comparative battery life, temperature, frame rate or loading times.

How to troubleshoot blurry graphics or stuttering on PC

Gryphline’s February 7, 2026 NVIDIA troubleshooting notice reports that NVIDIA App optimization may cause blurry graphics or stuttering on some NVIDIA-equipped PCs. If that matches what you are seeing, try the notice’s suggested remedies:

Valve Steam Deck 1TB Upgraded Handheld Gaming Console with Carring case, 1280 x 800 OLED Display Silicone Soft Cover Protector & Joystic Cap & Tempered Glass Film Bundle
  • Valve is entering the gaming console marketplace with the new Steam Deck, a console geared towards PC gamers. The Steam Deck can be docked to a monitor, and used as a PC, or docked to a TV.
  • Players can play a huge variety of games at any time with the comfort of a console and the freedom of a PC. Not anti-glare screen.
  • Like the name suggests, the Steam Deck will include upgraded 1TB storage, and will include a carrying case. A micro SD slot will also enable expanded storage.
  • Valve partnered with AMD to create a specialized APU optimized for handheld gaming, and Valve says the chip will deliver performance to run AAA gaming titles.
  • The Steam Deck is outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen, and two trackpads under the control sticks that allow gamers to operate games never designed outside of mouse and keyboard capabilities.
  • Revert the NVIDIA App’s optimization for the game.
  • Adjust DLSS Super Resolution settings.
  • Try TAAU or change the render scale.
  • Reduce graphics settings to suit your device.

This is a specific reported issue and set of remedies, not a general indication that NVIDIA hardware performs poorly.

Which platform should you choose?

  • Choose Steam if you want PC keyboard-and-mouse input, access to PC graphics settings, or the option to play with a supported controller on a PC that meets the version’s requirements.
  • Choose mobile if playing on a portable device and using touch controls matter more to you, or if you prefer to connect a supported controller to your phone or tablet.
  • Use both if you want to move between devices with the same account data: link Steam to the correct Gryphline Account and select the same server on each platform.

There is no official Steam-versus-mobile test in the cited materials that establishes which platform runs faster, loads sooner, lasts longer on battery or stays cooler. Your experience depends on the device, its capabilities and the settings you use.
