The payment problem reported around Arknights: Endfield’s January 22, 2026 launch involved PayPal orders that did not consistently match item delivery—not a confirmed diagnosis of random charges. Hypergryph later said the issue affected 3,429 orders across servers and around 1,800 players. PayPal was disabled while the company addressed the incident; GRYPHLINE later reported a limited regional restoration in May 2026.
What happened with Endfield payments?
At launch, the reported issue affected some PayPal purchases made through the official game launcher and PayPal top-ups on topup.gryphline.com. The initial notice described an inconsistency between an order and delivery of its items. Some players’ reports of unexpected amounts or mismatched purchases do not establish that the system randomly charged arbitrary sums.
Later reporting attributed the problem to a disconnect between PayPal and the game’s monetary infrastructure. Hypergryph has not published a detailed engineering postmortem establishing a precise technical defect.
How many orders and players were affected?
On February 3, 2026, GamesRadar+ reported Hypergryph’s figures: 3,429 affected orders across servers, involving around 1,800 players. Hypergryph put the total value at approximately $80,000 and the highest single affected transaction at $5,289. These are company figures relayed by a secondary outlet, not an independently audited transaction ledger.

What did Hypergryph do?
The initial notice said PayPal payments were disabled and refunds were being issued. In its later account, Hypergryph said it identified the affected transactions, issued full refunds to impacted players, and let affected players keep rewards they had earned. GamesRadar+ also reported that PayPal remained unavailable at that stage while the company carried out extended testing and verification and added safeguards around third-party payment providers.
Those statements describe the company’s reported response; they do not independently verify the refund status of every individual account. If you still see a charge or cannot confirm a refund, check the payment record and contact the payment provider or official support.

What to do if a payment looks wrong or an item is missing
First distinguish the transaction’s status from the game’s item delivery. A Pending or Authorized entry may be a pre-authorization hold rather than a completed charge. The official payment FAQ advises contacting your bank to release such a hold. For completed payments, use the steps for the store or payment route used:
Official website or PC client
The official FAQ notes that some payment methods can take time to process. Check the transaction status and allow for processing before attempting another payment, which could risk a duplicate purchase.
