To complete “Raise any 1 weapon skill of 1 weapon to Level 9,” upgrade one skill on any single weapon until it reaches Level 9. The task is listed under the permanent Horizons Missions in the Protocol Pass and awards 800 Protocol Pass EXP. It is a pass objective, not a world-map waypoint.
Where to find the Horizons mission
Look for the objective in the Horizons Missions section of the Protocol Pass. The community pass listing describes Horizons Missions as permanent, meaning they do not reset when the Protocol Pass resets. How to raise a weapon skill to Level 9
- Open your weapon inventory and select the weapon whose skill you want to improve.
- Choose an available skill on that weapon.
- Open Essence Etching for the selected skill.
- Select the stat or effect you want to improve, then check the material cost displayed in-game.
- Apply the etching if you have the required materials. Repeat the upgrade until the selected skill reaches Level 9.

What completion gives you
The Protocol Pass listing assigns 800 EXP to the objective. You need to bring one skill on one weapon to Level 9; the wording does not require upgrading multiple skills or weapons. Protocol Pass mission listing
