A Check Point Research weekly report named both DayZ and Arma Reforger among the affected games. The incident was reported as lasting roughly a week, but the available accounts do not establish exact start and end times.
What happened to DayZ and Arma Reforger?
Check Point Research’s report covering February 3–9, 2025, said Bohemia Interactive experienced severe disruptions to its online gaming services due to a sustained DDoS attack, specifically naming DayZ and Arma Reforger. Check Point’s February 10, 2025 report is a secondary account of the incident, not a technical postmortem from Bohemia.
A DDoS attack floods a service or network with traffic in an attempt to make it difficult for legitimate users to reach. The report identifies this as the cause of the service disruption; it does not provide traffic volumes, technical details, or an attacker attribution.
How long did the disruption last?
A February 6, 2025 Reddit post reproduced a statement attributed to Bohemia Interactive: “We understand the frustration of the community with the server difficulties over the past week.” The Reddit post supports describing the problems as spanning roughly a week, but it is a repost rather than the original company publication. “Week-long” should therefore be read as an approximate summary, not a verified count of outage days or a precise incident window.

Which players and servers were affected?
The incident reporting names the two games and describes disruption to Bohemia’s online gaming services. It does not provide a complete breakdown by country, platform, individual server, or server type. It also does not establish that every server was unavailable or that every player experienced the same problem.
For any particular player, trouble finding a server, failing to connect, being disconnected, or experiencing a crash are different symptoms and do not by themselves prove that the DDoS was the cause. Bohemia’s 2022 Arma Reforger Dev Report #8 discussed connection failures, disconnections, kicks, and crashes as separate problem classes; that older report is context only, not evidence about the 2025 attack.

Is this a current outage?
No. The reported disruption belongs to February 2025. Bohemia’s official Arma Reforger site shows development updates as late as September 2026, but those later updates do not change the historical scope of the DDoS report or establish the status of any particular server at another time.
For routine DayZ support questions, Bohemia’s official support page covers ordinary product support; it is not an incident notice for the 2025 disruption. Local troubleshooting may help with an individual connection problem, but the incident sources do not support treating purchases such as a VPN, router, or security software as a remedy for a provider-side DDoS disruption.
