MP1st reports that casting-call descriptions identify a protagonist as “Petra” and outline her family, allies and reported escape from a group called the Order of the Lamb. Those details have not been confirmed by Ubisoft, and the outlet cautions that the casting names may be placeholders. Ubisoft has described Assassin’s Creed Hexe only in broad terms so far.
What the Hexe report says
In an October 4, 2026 report, MP1st says it found character descriptions in casting calls dating from 2023 through recent months. The casting materials are not independently inspectable in the sources reviewed, so the specific identities, relationships and plot points below should be treated as reported, unconfirmed details—not established game canon.
MP1st uses “Petra” for the protagonist, while also recounting earlier rumors that called her Anika Adler. The article does not establish that either is the final character name, or that the labels refer to the same confirmed identity.
Petra’s reported family and associates
- Brigitte: Described in the reported casting material as a compassionate mother and midwife.
- Konrad: Described as a religious, caring family man burdened with a “dirty job.” MP1st connects this description to other material portraying a father as Neustadt’s headsman.
- Theo: Described as Petra’s shy younger brother.
- Bruno: Characterized as a patriarchal, larger-than-life leader with crude humor.
- Anton: Portrayed as ambitious and outwardly respectable, but secretive.
- Johanna: Described as a wealthy manipulator.
- Erika: Characterized as quick-witted, arrogant and conscious of social status.
Mother Gertrud, the Order of the Lamb and Augsburg
According to MP1st, Mother Gertrud was once a trusted village healer. After she could not cure an illness, she was accused of witchcraft. The report says she taught Petra’s mother about herbs and later gives Petra refuge.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
MP1st further says Gertrud helps Petra escape the Order of the Lamb, with Augsburg named as a dangerous destination. The report speculates that the Order could be a Templar front; that connection is conjecture, not a confirmed link to the Templars.
A reported modern-day character
The casting profile for “Anna” reportedly describes a competitive, driven career woman who does not share the German background of the other characters. MP1st suggests she may be connected to Abstergo or the Animus Hub, but that is the outlet’s inference; her role has not been confirmed.

What Ubisoft has actually confirmed
Ubisoft announced Codename Hexe in 2022 as a project led by Ubisoft Montreal and placed it within the Assassin’s Creed Infinity hub: Ubisoft’s announcement. That announcement does not verify the reported cast or plot.
Ubisoft’s public description calls Hexe a “unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin’s Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history.” It does not confirm Germany, witch trials, Augsburg, Würzburg, the characters above or an expansion tied to that city. In a March 5, 2026 franchise update, Assassin’s Creed head of content Jean Guesdon said the team was still working toward its vision and was not ready to share more. TechRadar reproduced his statement: “We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we’ll be quiet for a little longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right.” TechRadar’s coverage of Ubisoft’s update also quotes the broader public description.

Is Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe?
The MP1st report does not confirm an appearance by Ezio. It mentions a rumored Auditore-family connection through Petra’s mother, but that does not establish that Ezio—or any other member of the family—will appear in the game.

The report offers a possible outline of Hexe’s characters and story, but none of its specific details has been confirmed by Ubisoft. MP1st attributes them to casting-call descriptions and warns that the names may be placeholders; the descriptions are not independently verifiable from the public sources reviewed. For now, “Petra,” her reported family, Mother Gertrud, the Order of the Lamb and Augsburg are best understood as claims in the report, not official character or story announcements.
