Where can you play, and is cross-play supported?
The 1.0 release is available on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation, and the publisher says these platforms support cross-play. On Steam, the listing reports full controller support and names Xbox and DualSense controller compatibility. A controller is optional; the listing does not say that one is required or identify a preferred input method.

No. The Steam listing indicates in-game purchases, but does not establish their current prices or provide a verified purchase catalog. The free-to-play designation describes access to the game, not a guarantee that every optional item or feature is free.
