Assassin’s Creed Shadows did not ultimately launch in February 2025. Ubisoft first scheduled the game for November 15, 2024, then postponed it to February 14, 2025. In January 2025, Ubisoft moved the date again, to March 20, 2025—the release date shown on its store listing.

In its January 23, 2025 update, Ubisoft listed PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, Macs with Apple silicon through the Mac App Store, and Windows PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. That is the platform list in the dated announcement; check the relevant store for present-day availability and edition details.
What is Assassin’s Creed Shadows about?
Ubisoft described the story as following two protagonists: Naoe, a shinobi Assassin, and Yasuke, a samurai. The release-date updates establish that premise but do not provide a basis for further claims about gameplay or performance.
