Wizards of the Coast offered it in foil and non-foil editions as part of the Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary Superdrop in August 2024; that original sale has ended.
What cards are in the Astarion Secret Lair?
Wizards’ listing names these five cards in Astarion’s Thirst:
- Astarion, the Decadent
- Exquisite Blood
- Sanguine Bond
- Anguished Unmaking
- Mortify
The product description presents Astarion as pursuing revenge across five cards with new art. Wizards also frames the drop around building a Commander deck, but the product listing alone is not specific deck-building or format-legality guidance. View the official non-foil product listing.
Was Astarion’s Thirst foil or non-foil?
Both editions were listed by Wizards. The foil edition contains foil versions of the same five named cards; the non-foil edition contains those cards without the foil finish. The documented distinction is the finish, not different card contents. View the official foil product listing.

Wizards says most Secret Lair drops are pre-printed before a sale, while some are print on demand. Pre-printing can speed shipping but may also mean a drop sells out earlier. That general explanation does not confirm any present stock for Astarion’s Thirst. Read the Secret Lair FAQ, updated February 24, 2026.

- Well look who it is! Come in, come in. Don’t mind the robe. “Uncle Deadpool” is just crashing at Secret Lair for a few days. I’m actually doing a little tour of lairs, hideouts, sanctums, and strongholds and leaving ratings online. It’s been a blast.
- But I wasn’t expecting guests. Just, uh, kick back, relax, and . . . don’t sit on my red suit! It’s drying out. But check this out—Secret Lair made me my own Deadpool cards! Isn’t that nice? So pretty. This one even says, “trading card,” so you don’t forget. Anyway, make yourself comfortable and if you need anything, I’ll be in the kitchen making chimichangas.
