The ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 DOOM Edition is a limited, DOOM: The Dark Ages-themed version of ASUS’s ROG Astral RTX 5080—not a different GPU generation. It pairs the RTX 5080’s 16GB of GDDR7 with a green-and-gold design and collectible extras. Bethesda’s official store displayed a price of $1,999.99 USD and “COMING SOON” when checked on October 3, 2026; check the listing for current availability before buying.
What is the DOOM Edition RTX 5080?
It is an ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 dressed in a DOOM: The Dark Ages theme. ASUS identifies the GPU as part of NVIDIA’s Blackwell generation. The edition’s distinguishing features are its themed finish and bundle contents, rather than a separate GPU architecture.
ASUS describes a green-and-gold colorway, DOOM Slayer artwork on the backplate, green fans inspired by the Shield Saw, a full-metal shroud and four fans. Its feature list also names a vapor chamber, milled heat spreader, phase-change thermal pad and protective PCB coating. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independently verified comparative results. ASUS’s product announcement ties the card to DOOM: The Dark Ages and describes the game’s use of idTech8 native ray tracing, alongside DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series.

Check case clearance and power before buying
Physical fit
At 357.6 mm long and 3.8 slots wide, the card needs substantial room. Measure the case’s available GPU length and confirm that the card will not block the slots or other components you need. The width matters as much as the listed length: check adjacent-slot clearance and the space required to route the power cable.

- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4. System Requirements: Minimum 850W PSU with 16-pin 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) connector required. Verify before purchasing.
- Military-grade components deliver rock-solid power and longer lifespan for ultimate durability. Compatibility: 348mm (13.7") length, 3.6 slots, 4.3 lbs. Confirm case clearance and slot spacing. GPU bracket included.
- Protective PCB coating helps protect against short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris
- 3.6-slot design with massive fin array optimized for airflow from three Axial-tech fans
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal thermal performance and longevity, outlasting traditional thermal paste for graphics cards under heavy loads
ASUS includes a ROG X DOOM graphics card holder in its listed box contents. That is a supplied support accessory, not proof that every case will provide suitable clearance or that the card will fit without checking measurements.
Power
The card uses one 16-pin power connector. ASUS recommends an 850W PSU based on a system with a fully overclocked GPU and CPU; that is a manufacturer recommendation under that stated configuration, not a claim that every computer needs exactly 850W. Check your whole system’s requirements, the PSU’s available connector and its compatibility with your build. ASUS points buyers to its power-supply calculator for a more tailored estimate.

What comes in the box and bundle?
ASUS’s specifications page lists these box contents:
- Speed setup manual
- ROG X DOOM graphics card holder
- ROG X DOOM hook-and-loop fastener
- Sticker and magnet
- Graphics-card keycap and PCB ruler
- Thank-you card

Bethesda’s store listing describes a separate bundle that includes the card, an oversized mouse pad, a T-shirt, a metal yellow keycard replica and digital game content in the game-bundle version. Confirm the selected version and its current listing before assuming those merchandise or digital items are included; the store bundle description and ASUS’s box list are not interchangeable.

Price and where to buy
ASUS’s product announcement says the special card bundle would be sold exclusively through the Bethesda DOOM Gear Store. The official Bethesda listing showed $1,999.99 USD and “COMING SOON” on October 3, 2026. That dated store snapshot is not a guarantee of current stock or a price in another country; check the live listing and currency before placing an order.
NVIDIA has also described a broader GeForce RTX 50 Series promotion connected with DOOM: The Dark Ages. That is distinct from Bethesda’s themed card bundle, and a promotion’s existence does not establish that it is currently available or included with this card.

Is it faster than a regular Astral RTX 5080?
The official material establishes the themed card’s specifications, but does not provide an independent, like-for-like benchmark against a regular ROG Astral RTX 5080. The edition’s documented differences are its design and bundle items; there is no supported basis here for claiming it delivers higher frame rates or better temperatures, acoustics or efficiency than another RTX 5080. Treat the clock figures as ASUS-listed specifications, not proof of a measured performance advantage.
